2019中考英語閱讀理解優(yōu)練(6)及答案【能力選練】 A(2019中考選練)How to Be a Better StudentMaybe you are a common student. You probably think you will never be a top student. This is not necessary so, however. Anyone can become a better student if he or she wants to. Heres how: Plan your time carefully. When you plan your week, you should make a list of things that you have to do. After making this list, you should make a schedule of your time. First set your time for eating, sleeping, dressing, etc. Then decide a good, regular time for studying. Dont forget to set aside enough time for entertainment. A weekly schedule may not solve all your problems, but it will force you to realize what is happening to your time.Find a good place to study. Look around the house for a good study area. Keep this space, which may be a desk or simply a corner of your room, free of everything but study materials. No games, radios, or television! When you sit down to study, concentrate on the subject. Make good use of your time in class. Take advantage of class time to listen to everything the teachers say. Really listening in class means less work later. Taking notes will help you remember what the teacher says. Study regularly. When you get home from school, go over your notes, review the important points that your teacher is going to discuss the next day, read that material. This will help you understand the next class. If you do these things regularly, the material will become more meaningful, and you will remember it longer. Develop a good attitude about tests. The purpose of a test is to show what you have learned about a subject. They help you remember your new knowledge. The world wont end if you dont pass a test, so dont be over worried. There are other methods that might help you with your studying. You will probably discover them after you have tried these. 1.The writer gives you _ methods to help you in the passage. A. Four. B. Five. C. Six. D. I was having trouble with my job in the bank. As I walked, I thought seriously about giving up living there. City life had become too much for me. As I walked down empty streets, I felt very small and cold. I began running, both to keep warm and to keep away any possible danger. Very few people were still out except a few sad-looking homeless people under blankets(毛毯).Suddenly, I heard a sound behind me. I turned quickly, all I saw was a shining streetlight. Still, the noise had made me nervous, so I started to run faster. When I reached home, I realized what the noise had been. It had been my wallet falling to the sidewalk. Now I wasnt cold or tired anymore. I ran back to where Id heard the noise. Although I searched carefully for fifteen minutes, my wallet was nowhere to be found. Just as I was about to give up the search, I heard the garbage truck(垃圾車)come to me. When a voice called from the inside, “Alisa Chen?” I thought I was dreaming. How could this man know my name? The door opened, and out jumped a small red-haired man “Is this what youre looking for?” he asked, holding up a small square shape. It was nearly 3 a. m. by the time I got into bed. D。細讀第二段,再聯(lián)系父女倆的談話即可得出答案。2. B。根據(jù)“but I didnt think I was clear.”以及“I took one and then I took anotherI know one and one was two, but dont ask me what it is now.”可知B項是錯誤的。3. A。根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容,那位老師所說的“”她的意思是說“個位上的數(shù)字是幾就表示幾個一”,當(dāng)然應(yīng)是小于1的數(shù)。4. D。由“My head was now hurting.”這句話,可知“父親”聽了老師的解釋后沒有生氣、焦慮或悲傷,而是頭昏腦脹,疲憊之至。5. When I look back on my career, I realize the road to becoming a CEO isnt a straight, clear path. In fact, no two paths are the same. But whether you want to be a boss one day or not, theres a lot to learn from how leaders rise to the top of successful companies. As this series of stories shows, the paths to becoming a CEO may be different, but the people in that position(位置) share the qualities of commitment(義務(wù)), work ethic(道德) and a strong desire for building something new. And every CEO take risks along the wayputting your life savings on the line to start a software company or leaving a big business to be one of the first employees at a startup.
