2、riginal Entry accordingly 3 Books of original entry Books of original entry are the books in which we first record transactions. Separate book for each kind of transaction. Known as either journals or day books. Entries made in the books of original entry are then summarised and entered into various

3、 ledgers. 4 Recording:Recording: Date of transaction. Details relating to the sale, e.g. customer information, product sold, seller ID, etc. Folio column for cross referencing back to the original source document, e.g. the invoice. 6、ansactions, cash sales are not entered in the sales day book. It s a list of all credit sales, i.e. info from Sales Invoices. 8 Credit sales In all but the smallest business, most sales will be made on credit, major exceptions include retailers e.g. corner shops and supermarkets. When customers pay
