Cover letter申請(qǐng)就讀大學(xué),研究生院,獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金和工作等信件都為申請(qǐng)信。 申請(qǐng)信的寫法在內(nèi)容的安排上類似于其他的英語信函, 往往在信的第一段的第一句話, 就開門見山地說明寫信的目的, 接著敘述本人的有關(guān)情況。在信的結(jié)尾處, 可以表示希望能收到肯定的答復(fù)。寫申請(qǐng)信切忌過分夸張,或

2、者過分自信, 但語氣要肯定和自信, 表現(xiàn)出自己有能力從事某一方面的工作或?qū)W習(xí)。1.1. My parents were both born

My mother, who died in my tenth year, was from a family named Hanks, some of whom now reside in Adams County, and others in Macon County, Illinois.
