a state banquet in honor of the visiting President a wedding feast

a birthday party 生日聚會(huì)a farewell party 歡送會(huì). Chinese banquets are usually held in private rooms in restaurants, either for supper/dinne

、r or lunch/luncheon. 主賓 the guest of honor主陪 the main host譯文:The guest of honor typically enters the room first. The baby was seated on the mother? s lap.

I was seated on the ground, f 正坐著(狀態(tài))I sat on the ground. f 坐下來(動(dòng)作)道雨句中文一樣都是我坐在地上。 Sit down.

、是seat這個(gè)字,可以當(dāng)名詞或動(dòng)詞:(較隨意)Take a seat. / Have a seat,請(qǐng)坐。(較正式)Please be seated.請(qǐng)就坐。. 背對(duì)著門 with someone? s back to the door. At a formal dinner, the main host and the guest of honor are seated facing each other, the host with his back to the door and the gue

、st facing the door. . 包括:include/consist of. The main courses of banquets usually include/consist of cold dishes, stir-fried dishes, a whole cook

、ed fish which symbolizes abundance/affluence, and soup. Serving fruit indicates the end of the meal. The Golden Rule states treat others the way you want them to treat you/ Good manners and etiquette help you earn respect. Rude and offensive behavior does not go down well with anyone. And as they

、say, “respect given is respect earned/ Hence, if you treat others with respect and acknowledge them, you are most likely to be respected, trusted and loved. The Golden Rule states treat others the way you want them to treat you.v. golden rule: a guiding principle

、指圣經(jīng)中馬太福音和路加福音的 準(zhǔn)那么:a rule of ethical conduct referring to Matthew 7:12 and Luke 6:31: do to others as you would have them do to you這句話也有三種表達(dá)方式:Treat others as you would like others to treat you (positive or directive form)Do not treat others in ways that you would not like to be treated (negative or

、 prohibitive form)(類似于論語中的“己所不欲,勿施于人”)。What you wish upon others, you wish upon yourself (empathetic or responsive form)譯文:有這樣一條金科玉律/黃金法那么指出:“你希望別人怎樣對(duì)待你,你就怎樣對(duì)待別人”。 Good manners and etiquette help you earn respect. Rude and offensive behavior does not go down well with anyone.L go down在這里的意思是to fi

And as they say, u respect given is respect earned. Hence, if you treat others with respect and acknowledge them, you are most likely to be respected, trusted and loved.urespect given is respect earned/這句話真的很奇怪(英文就不會(huì)這么表達(dá)!)地道的表達(dá)應(yīng)該是 uRespect is earned, not given.“ Respect is earned, not given suggests that if you want to be respected, you cannot force people to respect you just because you want them to. People who adhere to this saying recognize that not everyone is born equal and they aren/t obliged to love or respect
