The analysis

2、 of the teaching materialIn this lesson, the students are going to read a passage about pandas. It tells the present situation of the pandas and peoples efforts to protect them. And in further the passage mentions WWF and animals in danger. The learning of this lesson aims at getting the students to

3、 know the importance of protecting animals and some ways to protect animals. The key structure of this part is infinitives as object complements and adverbials of purpose.1. The analysis of the teachinTeaching objectives1. Knowledge objectives:Master these words and phrases : research,baby,situation

4、,scientist, produce,feed,government, nature,develop, symbol, do research, in order to, work hard, etc.2. Ability objective :Enable the students to skim for the main idea of the article, scan for the specific information, predict some information and understand the whole passage.3. Emotional objectiv

5、e :Enhance the students awareness of protecting animals and learn some ways to protect them.Teaching objectives1. KnowledgKey points and difficult points1. Key points: To get information about pandas from the passage; To learn the new words: research, situation, scientist, produce, southwest, govern

The analysis of the students.The students are interested in animals and the ways to protect them. With common sense and previous learning, the students have known about many a

7、nimals and something about some animals living condition. But the students are not clear about pandas situation and the efforts to protect them.The students have learned the infinitives as objects, but they are not so familiar with infinitives as object complements and adverbials of purpose.2.
