BriefintroductionoflaserByJiangWeiandZengXiangzePhysicsCollegeShandongUniversity2011.4.21PrincipaloflaserlightTheinteractionbetweenelectronsconsistsofthreebasicprocess:spontaneousemission,stimulatedabsorptionandstimulatedemission.spontaneousemissionistheprocessinwhichexcitedatomscanexperiencespontaneoustransitionfromhighenergyleveltolowenergylevel.Simultaneously,certainphotonisemitted.E2-E1=hμwhereμisthefrequencyofthephotonstimulatedabsorption:Whenthereisanatomatitslowenergylevelandanphotonwithenergyhμcominginside,theatomislikelytoabsorbthephotonandtransfertothehighenergylevelifhμ=E2-E1ThetransitiondoesnothappenspontaneouslybutoccursduetothephotonstimulatingE=C12u(μ21)
