Insulin-likegrowthfactorisaproteinthatisreleasedfromtheliverinresponsetogrowthhormone.Itincreasesthesensitivityoftheovariestofolliclestimulatinghormone,therebyincreasingovulation,thestudysaid.

Previousstudieshavedemonstratedthatshorterpeoplehavesignificantlylowerlevelsofthisproteinandthatcountrieswithtallerwomenhavehigherratesoftwinningcomparedtocountrieswithshorterwomen.

Inapreviousstudy,Steinmanfoundthatwomenwhoconsumeanimalproducts,specificallydairy,werefivetimesmorelikelytohavetwins.Cows,likehumans,produceinsulin-likegrowthfactorinresponsetogrowthhormonesandreleaseitintotheblood,andtheproteinmakesitswayintotheirmilk.

Thesurvey,conductedfortheStepsLeadershipProgrambyemploymentconsultancyfirmPeterBerryConsultancy,foundwomenweremorelikelytotakeachancewiththeirideasandchallengethestatusquo.

"Womenareambitious,bold,mischievous,colorfulandimaginative.Theyaremoreconfident,competitive,visionaryandhaveastrongerpresence,"GillianO'Mara,generalmanageroftheStepsLeadershipProgram,saidinastatement.

Butthesurveyfoundthatmenweremoretaskfocusedandconcentratedongettingthejobdoneratherthandealingwithrelationships.

"(Menbelievethat)thatbottomlinedollarsaretheonlygameintown.Theirkeymotivesandpreferencesinlifeappeartobearoundrevenue,budgetsandprofit.Atworkandathome,theyaredrivenbyfinancialopportunities,"saidO'Mara.

Toclearoutbugs,themagazinerecommendsusersunplugkeyboards,turnthemupsidedownandshakethem.
