sometime、sometime、sometimessometimes這些詞或詞組在初中我們就都接觸過(guò)了,但

是未必所有的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者都能夠清楚地進(jìn)行區(qū)分和準(zhǔn)確無(wú)誤地運(yùn)用。許多人對(duì)它們的理解都

還很模糊?,F(xiàn)在,我們來(lái)逐個(gè)擊破。

sometime

(1)副詞:某個(gè)時(shí)候。可指過(guò)去或?qū)?lái)的某個(gè)時(shí)候。如:

①Wouldyoucometothecinemawithme,sometime?賞臉找個(gè)時(shí)間和我看場(chǎng)電影嗎?

(將來(lái))

②We'11takeourholidaysometimeinAugust.我們會(huì)在八月找個(gè)時(shí)間度假。(將來(lái))

③Iboughtthissometimelastsummer.這是我在上個(gè)夏天買(mǎi)的。(過(guò)去)

?Thismansionwasbuiltsometimearound1980.這棟大廈是1980年左右建的。(過(guò)去)

(2)形容詞:前,過(guò)去的。意思類(lèi)似former。

①Thisisoursometimegeneralmanager.這是我們的前任總經(jīng)理。

②Oursometimeclassmate,Rose,isnowapopstar.我們以前的同學(xué)羅斯,現(xiàn)在是明星

了。

sometimes副詞:有時(shí)候。順便提一下,attimes也是“有時(shí)”的意思。

①Everymanisafoolsometimes,andnoneatalltimes.每個(gè)人有時(shí)都會(huì)犯傻,但沒(méi)有誰(shuí)

會(huì)一直都傻。

②Isometimeshavelettersfromhim.有時(shí)我會(huì)收到他的來(lái)信。

sometime某段時(shí)間。常與for連用。

①WeplantostayinHainanforsometime.我們打算在海南呆上一段時(shí)間。

②Iwillkeepthecomputerforsometime,soyoucanuseit.這部電腦我會(huì)留著一段時(shí)間,

你可以用。

sometimes幾次。severaltimes也可以表示“幾次”,但比sometimes較確定。time作可數(shù)

名詞時(shí)可作“次數(shù)”解;表示“時(shí)間”時(shí)是不可數(shù)名詞。

①I(mǎi)amsurethatwehavemetsometimesbefore.我肯定我們之前見(jiàn)過(guò)幾次了。

②Thenewlyboughtmicrowaveovenfailedtoworksometimes.新買(mǎi)的微波爐壞了幾次

了。

同位語(yǔ)從句與定語(yǔ)從句的區(qū)別

1、同位語(yǔ)從句與前面的名詞是同位關(guān)系,即說(shuō)明它前面名詞的內(nèi)容;而定語(yǔ)從句與

前面的名詞是修飾與被修飾關(guān)系,即限定它前面的名詞范圍,或補(bǔ)充一些情況。如:

Thenewsthat1hovepassedtheexamistrue.我通過(guò)了考試這一消息是真的。

(同位語(yǔ)從句,即從句所表達(dá)的意思就是前面名詞的內(nèi)容。)

Thenewsthathetoldmejustnowistrue.他剛才告訴我的消息是真的。

(定語(yǔ)從句,從句對(duì)前面名詞起修飾限制作用,即“他告訴我的”那個(gè)消息,而不是

別的消息。)

2、引導(dǎo)同位語(yǔ)從句的that是連詞,在從句中不充當(dāng)任何成份,而引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句的that

是關(guān)系代詞,除起連接作用外,還在從句中充當(dāng)主語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)或表語(yǔ)等。如:

Theideathatcomputerscanrecognizehumanvoicessurprisesmanypeople.

計(jì)算機(jī)能夠識(shí)別人的聲音的想法使許多人感到驚奇。

(that在從句中不充當(dāng)任何成份。)

(that在從句中作gave的賓語(yǔ)。)
