譯：管信系的源發(fā)管理信息系統(tǒng)的歷史不長到現(xiàn)在為止對其系統(tǒng)研究只有四十幾年的時間為一個新興學科，它的發(fā)展歷程大致經歷了以下幾個階段：管理信息系統(tǒng)（ManagementInformationSystems,）詞最早出現(xiàn)在六十年代，美國明尼蘇達大學管理學院G.B.Davis教率領他的同仁們開始了管理信息系統(tǒng)領域的深入研究。管理信息系統(tǒng)的出現(xiàn)，給日后的管理工作帶來了革命性的變化，那時人們根本想象不到今天的管理信息統(tǒng)在所有組織的經營活動中的地位和作用。隨著科學技術、特別是計算機技術的飛速發(fā)展，管理息系統(tǒng)這一學科不斷完善，以至于在當今激烈的市場競爭中占有相當重要的地位。信息的使用不是現(xiàn)代社會的專利。婦幼皆知的三國時期諸葛亮“草船借箭文、地理信息妙的典范。這樣的例子古今中外，比比皆是，只不過那時對信息的理解遠不及今天對信息的理解在信息的處理技術、方法和手段方面也是無法比擬的。任何學科的發(fā)展都與當時的社會的、經濟的、技術的環(huán)境和條件緊密相聯(lián)。管理信息系統(tǒng)也是一樣，在人類進入工業(yè)社會以后，出于對生存與發(fā)展的需要，人們開始嘗試使用更先進的設備技術處理和使用信息。世紀19世初，卡片穿孔機的問世，人們感到信息處理的革命時代已經到來，這是計算機出現(xiàn)之前信息處理的飛躍。進入50年，人類發(fā)明了計算機，盡管那時的計算機與我們今天的計算機無法相比，但人們還是看到了它在信息處理方面的發(fā)展?jié)摿τ袟l件的開始嘗試利用它來輔助人們管理自己的業(yè)務用計算機代替人工處理大量的數(shù)據(jù)天看來管信息系統(tǒng)就是從這時開始真正走進人們的生活。稱得上管理信息系統(tǒng)最早、應用效果最好的系統(tǒng)應該是EDP即我們現(xiàn)在稱之為電子數(shù)據(jù)處理系統(tǒng)（ElectronicData一使用到九十年代，直到INTERNET普及后才逐漸退出臺。年代期，人們開始認到隨著工業(yè)化社會的發(fā)展，生產規(guī)模和領域不斷擴大，生產自化水平的不斷提高，生產和流通量與日俱增，使得與生產有關的信息成倍膨脹，因而管理工作也越來越復雜。對信息的處理要求及時、準確是所有組織共同的期望。于是1954年美國的通用電氣司使用計算機進行了最早的計算機工資計算和成本會計計算是理信息系統(tǒng)的早期形態(tài)EDP的代表作國是使用計算機進數(shù)據(jù)處理的先驅年末在美國近三千臺的計算機中80％用于數(shù)據(jù)處理工作，其應用范圍非常廣泛，包括各種各樣的大型企業(yè)、服務業(yè)、事業(yè)機構等等美國航空公司的SABRE預訂票系就是這個時期EDP型代表，是比前面的工資和成本會計系統(tǒng)先進的系統(tǒng)，這個系統(tǒng)能分配美國任一航空公司、任一航線、任一航班的飛機座位。它設1008個約點，分配76000個位，能存取600000個旅飛行記錄，但它不能告訴人們進一步的詳細信息仍屬于管理信息系統(tǒng)的初級階段。盡管如此，計算機在數(shù)據(jù)處理方面的應用，極大地推動了計機硬件和軟件的發(fā)展進推動了個計算機產業(yè)的發(fā)展界上第一個數(shù)據(jù)處理語言(CommonBusinessOrientedLanguage)就在這一時期誕生的。從60年代70年，這是管理息系統(tǒng)發(fā)展最重要的時期。在近二十年的時間里，管理信息系統(tǒng)無論從理論方面，還是從實踐方面都取得了基礎性的成果。以實時處理系統(tǒng)為代表的管理息系統(tǒng)開始形成和應用，這類系統(tǒng)的基本特征是針對一定范圍的信息內容進行較為綜合的數(shù)據(jù)處，能適時地提供信息，對于圖像、文字、聲音、圖表等信息，均可采用文件或文本方式進行信息錄入、處理、與傳輸70年，美國為代表的西方發(fā)達國家對管理信息系統(tǒng)開始了大規(guī)模研究與應用，隨著研究的不斷深入，人們對其不僅期望在數(shù)據(jù)處理方面有量的突破，而且更期望在質的面，即在信息的全面管理方面有新的內容個全面而龐大的生產狀態(tài)信息報告系統(tǒng)COPICS由IBM公

研制成功，這個系統(tǒng)包括設計和生產數(shù)據(jù)管理子系統(tǒng)、用戶訂貨子系統(tǒng)、預測子系統(tǒng)、主生產劃于系統(tǒng)、成本及會計子系統(tǒng)、庫存管理子系統(tǒng)以及制造活動計劃子系統(tǒng)等于多個子系統(tǒng)，分布企業(yè)的各個部門，實時收集信息，提供決策與管理數(shù)據(jù)。我國80年的大多數(shù)應用系統(tǒng)基本上屬于此類，這類軟件基本上實現(xiàn)了管理信息系統(tǒng)的基本思想。這一時期由于管理信息系統(tǒng)的初步應，將計算機和管理活動緊密結合，使得整個企業(yè)形成了一個高度計算機化、高度信息化的組織，大地改善了企業(yè)的運作效率，提高了工作質量。不過人們還只是初步認識到計算機在管理中的作，只是看到了計算機的速度，沒有體會到管理信息系統(tǒng)的真正內涵。于是，學者們一方面針對管信息系統(tǒng)在實踐中的問題進行進一步的研究，另一方面又開始了理論方面的探索。管理信息系統(tǒng)基本理論和基本概念多是在70年代后期形成的，特別是決策支持系統(tǒng)DSS）開發(fā)與應用，開了新的天地。人們認為，計算機在管理方面新的應用模式，應注重對決策的支持，因而管理信系統(tǒng)的發(fā)展方向應一種能夠對組織的決策者提供決策信息支持的有友好的用戶界面的系統(tǒng)。決策支持系統(tǒng)的思想很快得到了學術界的重視并得以快速發(fā)展，這正是管理信息系統(tǒng)的精髓，種思想還在支撐著今天的管理信息系統(tǒng)。進入80年，計算機軟硬件技術開始了它的高速發(fā)展時期。由于有了技術的保障，許多以前只能想不能做的事情都可以很容易實現(xiàn)。人類不僅僅進入了無紙化管理年代，而且也開始進入了人工智能為基礎的管理年代，人們開始研究將人工智能理論應用于企業(yè)管理以及與決策支持系統(tǒng)結合等，用于管理的專家系統(tǒng)也開始出現(xiàn)。這類系統(tǒng)除了提供給用戶巨大的模型庫之外，還提供專家系統(tǒng)的推理結構和知識庫編輯工具戶可使用系統(tǒng)中的知識庫和推理機構對決策問題進行推理，得到有關的結論年代后期繼出現(xiàn)了高層主管信息系Information，EIS）和戰(zhàn)略信息系統(tǒng)（InformationSystems，SIS者際
