Response:ItisreallytrueasReviewermentionedthatduetothehazardsofchrysotile,theuseofchrysotilecontainingmaterialshavebeenbannedcompletelyinmanycountries,andfortherecyclingofchrysotilecontainingmaterials,therearesomelegalrestrictionswhichIhaveaddedtothesectionofIntroduction.Therearesomesafetyhazardsinthesynthesisanduseofasbestos-containingmaterialsinevitably,howeverthisconcerndoesn'texistinourexperiment,becausethesamplespreparedintheexperimentarecompletelyfreeofasbestos,whichisexplainedintheresponsetoReviewer#2below.

Response:Weareverysorryforournegligenceofmistakenlywritingthemagnificationrangeas500-1000intheexperimentalcharacterization,actuallythemagnificationrangeis500-5000.

CommentNo.1:Manuscriptdealswithtransformationofunhealthychrysotile(serpentine)intoforsteriteand/orenstatite-containingmaterialsfordecorativebuildingpurposes.However,chrysotilecontentoftheobtainedmaterialsshouldbethoroughlycontrolled.

Response:Thankyouforyourvaluablecomment,itisdefinitelyacriticalissuethatchrysotilecontentoftheobtainedmaterials(glass-ceramics)shouldbethoroughlycontrolled.Actually,thechrysotileinserpentinestartsat600℃andcompletelyremoveshydroxylat700℃resultingthedecompositionoforiginalmineralsandthedisintegrationofstructure,andformharmlesssubstancesincludingamorphoussilicaandforsterite.Sointheexperiment,thefiberstructurechrysotilecanbecompletelydestroyedafterpre-firingat700℃.Furthermore,inthethermaltreatmentofcrystallizationandsinteringathighertemperatures,theresiduethathasnotbeencompletelydecomposedcanbefurtherdecomposedandtotallyconvertedintoharmlessphasesincludingforsterite,enstatite,etc.bysolidphasereactionandsolid-liquidreaction.Ultimately,theproductwasentirelyasbestos-freeandwhichcanbeseenfromthemorphologyofthesamplesinfigure6.

Response:AsReviewersuggestedthatitisindeedbettertogivesomereferenceforthechemicalcontentofAsbestostailings.Tworeference(reference2andreference3)wereaddedtoconfirmthechemicalcontentandphasecompositionofasbestostailings.

CommentNo.2:Howdoyoudistinguishbetweenthemaincrystalphaseandthesubcrystallinephase?

Response:wearesorrythatwemayhavenotexpresseditclearly,theword“subcrystalline”usedinmymanuscriptmaybenotaccurate.Ithinkitwouldbesuitabletochangeittotheword“minor”.ThecontentofdifferentcrystalphasesinthesampleweredeterminedbyrietveldrefinementusingGSAS,andtheresultsareshownbelow(withtheweightfractionofforsteritebeing39.44%,enstatite24.92%,diopside21.18%andmagnesioferrite14.45%respectively).Accordingtotheresult,itcanbeseenthatthemaincrystalphasesareforsteriteandenstatite,andtheminorphasesarediopsideandmagnesioferrite.
