However,insomecountries,theuseofthe“OK"signcanbequiteoffensiveandmaycausegreatproblems,asitisseenasavulgarinsult.Inaddition,manygesturesmayseemeasytounderstandandperform,butareguidedbycomplexsocialrulesthatavisitormaynotknowabout.Ifthesegesturesaredoneincorrectly,itcancausegreatproblems.Thisisespeciallytrueofgesturesthatinvolvebodilycontact.Forexample,inplaceswherepeoplekissonthecheekasagreeting,thekississometimesan"airkiss"thereisnoactualphysicalcontactbetweenthelipsandthecheek-anditcouldcauseproblemsifarealkissismade.Further,inmanycountries,kissingonthecheekismorecommonbetweenwomen,anditmaybefrowneduponforamantokissanotherman,orawomanhedoesnotknowwell.Whengoingabroad,itisalwaysbesttowatchandlearntheproperetiquetteforbodylanguagebeforeplungingonahead.
