maysuggestthatourcreativethinkingdoesnotdifferthatmuchinresponsetototal

Butsincetheresultsat70decibelsweresignificant,thestudyalsosuggeststhat
therightlevelofbackgroundnoise—nottooloudandnottotalsilence—mayactually
improveone'screativethinkingability.Therightlevelofbackgroundnoisemay
interruptournormalpatternsofthinkingjustenoughtoallowourimaginationsto
