theareatheycoveris15.2kmsq,comparedto0.8kminspring
and5.1kmintheautumn.

tofindfoodiftheydon'tneedto,sotheresearcherssaythe
resultsshowthatthesummeristhemostchallengingseasonfor
beestocollectthenectarandpollenfromflowers.
"Thereisalargequantityofflowersinthespringand
autumn,butitisharderforthemtolocategoodblocksof
flowersinthesummerbecauseagriculturalintensificationmeans
therearefewerwildflowersinthecountrysideforbees,"said
