ThecourseaimstoimprovetheSs'speakingskills,andactivatetheirsocialconversation

skills.ItisdesignedtogiveourSsspeakingskillneededintheirmajorstudyandtheirfuture

careers.ThemainemphasisisonhelpingSslearntocommunicateorallyandeffectively,making

realprogresswiththelanguageandbuildingconfidencetoperformtasksthathaveapositiveand

professionalimpactonanEnglishspeakingaudience.AlsothecourseisdesignedtohelpourSsto

acquirethespeakingskillneededintheirpreparationfortheongoingTOFELassessment.By

extension,thecoursealsoaimstoenrichstudents5integratedlinguisticskillsatthelevelofoverall

thoughtandexpression.

Thecontentsarebasedoncertaintextbooks,whichcouldprovideSswithagoodideaof

whattheymightcover,andincludetypicalthemes,grammarandvocabularyfields.Theyare

flexibleratherthanprescriptive,andourteachersshouldadaptthecoursesyllabustothelevel,

aimsandinterestsoftheclass.Thesecoursesareatfourdifferentlevels:Term1(fromLow

BeginningtoLowIntermediate),Term2(fromIntermediatetoHighBeginning),Term3(from

IntermediatetoAdvanced)andTerm4(AdvancedandAcademic).
