MOOC平臺下體育院校大學(xué)英語PBL教學(xué)模式的研究Title:ResearchonthePBLTeachingModelofCollegeEnglishinSportsUniversitiesUndertheMOOCPlatformIntroduction:WiththedevelopmentofonlineeducationundertheMOOC(MassiveOpenOnlineCourses)platform,theteachingmodelofProblem-BasedLearning(PBL)hasgainedattentioninvariousdisciplines.However,theapplicationofPBLinthecontextofcollegeEnglishinsportsuniversitiesremainsunderexplored.ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatethePBLteachingmodel'seffectivenessinenhancingstudents'Englishlanguageproficiencyandprovidingaholisticlearningexperienceinsportsuniversities.1.Background:Sportsuniversitiesfocusprimarilyoncultivatingtalentedathletesinvarioussportsfields.However,itisequallyessentialtoprovideacomprehensiveeducation,includinglanguageskills.Englishproficiencyisparticularlycrucialforsportsprofessionalstocommunicateeffectivelyininternationalsportingevents,collaboratewithforeignathletesandcoaches,andpursuehighereducationabroad.Therefore,adoptingeffectiveteachingmodelsforcollegeEnglishinsportsuniversitiesisofutmostsignificance.2.OverviewofPBLTeachingModel:a)Problem-BasedLearning(PBL)isastudent-centeredpedagogythatemphasizesactivelearningandcriticalthinkingskills.b)InthePBLmodel,studentsencounterreal-worldproblemsorscenariosrelatedtothesubjectmatterandworkcollaborativelytoexplorepossiblesolutions.c)KeyelementsofPBLincludeproblemidentification,problemsolving,researchskills,teamwork,reflection,andpresentation.3.AdvantagesofPBLinCollegeEnglishEducation:a)AuthenticLanguagePractice:PBLprovidesstudentswithopportunitiestouseEnglishinreal-lifesituations,improvingtheirlanguageskillsthroughpracticalapplication.b)CriticalThinkingSkills:PBLencouragesstudentstoanalyzeproblems,thinkcritically,anddevelopstrategiestosolvethem,enhancingtheiranalyticalandproblem-solvingabilities.c)CollaborationandCommunicationSkills:PBLpromotesteamworkandcommunication,allowingstudentstoenhancetheirabilitiestoworkeffectivelyingroups,negotiateideas,andpresentsolutions.d)MotivationandEngagement:PBLencouragesactivelearning,whichincreasesstudents'motivationandengagementcomparedtotraditionalteachingmethods.4.ImplementationofPBLinCollegeEnglishinSportsUniversities:a)DesigningAuthenticProblems:Createcontext-specificproblemsrelevanttosports-relatedscenarios,suchasnegotiatingsponsorshipdeals,preparingpressreleasesforinternationalcompetitions,orcommunicatingeffectivelywithforeigncoachesandathletes.b)FormingDiverseTeams:Constructgroupswithamixofstudentsfromdifferentsportsdisciplines,encouragingcross-disciplinarycollaborationsanddiverseperspectives.c)GuidanceandFacilitation:Provideadequateguidanceandsupporttostudents,ensuringtheyunderstandtheproblem,developresearchstrategies,andeffectivelypresenttheirfindings.d)AssessmentandFeedback:Implementauthenticassessmentmethods,suchasoralpresentations,writtenreports,andpeerevaluations,toassessstudents'languageproficiency,problem-solvingabilities,andteamworkskills.5.ResearchDesignandMethodology:a)QuantitativeApproach:ConductlanguageproficiencytestsbeforeandafterimplementingthePBLteachingmodeltomeasurestudents'improvementsinEnglishskills.b)QualitativeApproach:Conductinterviewsorsurveystogatherstudents'feedbackontheeffectivenessofthePBLmodelandtheirperceptionsofthelearningexperience.Conclusion:ImplementingthePBLteachingmodelincollegeEnglisheducationinsportsuniversitiesundertheMOOCplatformcanprovideadynamicandengaginglearningenvironment.ItoffersopportunitiesforstudentstoimprovetheirEnglishlanguageproficiency,criticalthinkingskills,andcollaborationabilities,which
