考向35語法填空題型分析語法填空題的命題方式是在一篇200詞左右的語言材料中留出10個空白,部分空白的后面給出單詞的基本形式,要求考生根據(jù)上下文填寫空白處所需的內(nèi)容(1個單詞)或所提供的單詞的正確形式。語法填空題著重從句子和語篇兩個層級,考查考生在閱讀理解的基礎(chǔ)上運用語法、語用與語篇知識,對語言的形式、意義與功能的綜合運用能力,對考生理解語篇語用、分析句子結(jié)構(gòu)、把握語篇話題以及熟練使用語法知識等方面的能力要求比較高。語法填空題的測試點包括英語的詞法、句子關(guān)系、以及在具體情景中如何確保語義連貫的篇章知識等。在試題設(shè)置上,語法填空題在形式上主要分兩類:(1)有提示詞填空題:通??疾閯釉~的時態(tài)、語態(tài)、非謂語動詞、主謂一致、形容詞與副詞的等級變化、以及詞類轉(zhuǎn)換等;(2)無提示詞填空題:通??疾楣谠~、代詞、名詞、介詞與連詞的正確選用等。無論是哪一類的填空題,其核心目的在于考查考生如何通過語言的、語法的、語用的以及語篇的知識,去實現(xiàn)語篇意義的連貫性。復習的重點是要掌握句子的基本結(jié)構(gòu)。首先,我們必須熟練掌握簡單句的基本句型結(jié)構(gòu):(1)主語+謂語(+賓語+賓補)(2)主語+系動詞+表語。其次,我們要充分了解充當各個句子成分的典型詞類:(1)充當主語或賓語的典型詞類是名詞或代詞。此外,還有動名詞、不定式短語等。(2)充當謂語的一定是動詞。(3)充當補語或表語的典型詞類是形容詞。(4)在名詞前作定語的典型詞類是形容詞或形容詞性物主代詞。(5)作狀語的典型詞類是副詞。再次,我們還要掌握句子的擴展結(jié)構(gòu):兩個或幾個簡單句之間若不用句號或分號,就必須要用連詞,否則,句子的結(jié)構(gòu)就不完整。連詞主要有以下四類:(1)用and,but,or,while(而,卻),when(就在這個時候)等構(gòu)成并列句。(2)用if,unless,before,after,until,although,though,as,since,because,so,sothat等構(gòu)成含狀語從句的復合句(這里要注意區(qū)分一下復雜句和復合句,復合句是包含在復雜句這個概念里面的,在下文的基礎(chǔ)寫作部分有提到)。(3)用who,which,that,when,where,why等構(gòu)成含定語從句的復合句。(這里要提醒考生的是往往不給任何提示的空就是填連詞或關(guān)系詞的,但也須結(jié)合句子結(jié)構(gòu)來分析。)(4)用that,if/whether(是否),wh-等構(gòu)成含名詞性從句的復合句。解題策略解語法填空,要從"詞、句、篇"三個層面去思考。1.詞匯層面方法1:作主語或賓語的名詞或"形容詞+名詞"前無形容詞性物主代詞、不定代詞等限定詞時,根據(jù)上下文填冠詞。方法2:句子缺主語或賓語,空格后沒有提示詞,填詞多為代詞。方法3:空格前已有主語,括號內(nèi)是動詞提示,空格需填謂語動詞。方法4:句中已有謂語動詞且又無并列連詞與括號內(nèi)提示的動詞并列,說明空格需填非謂語動詞形式。方法5:當括號內(nèi)所提示的詞是形容詞或副詞且空格處需要的仍是形容詞或副詞時,很可能填比較級和最高級。方法6:當"…(+限定詞)+名詞"或"…+代詞/doing/從句"在句中不作主語或賓語時,通常填介詞。2.句子層面方法1:連接兩個功能對等的單詞、短語或句子時,應填并列連詞and,or,but,while,when等。方法2:若判斷連詞所引導的從句起名詞的作用(作主語/賓語/表語/同位語),則為名詞性從句,根據(jù)引導名詞性從句的連接詞在從句中的成分和意義確定連詞。方法3:若判斷連詞所引導的從句起形容詞的作用(作定語),則為定語從句,根據(jù)引導定語從句的先行詞和關(guān)系詞在從句中的成分確定關(guān)系代詞或者關(guān)系副詞。關(guān)系代詞在從句作主語和賓語,作狀語用關(guān)系副詞(可轉(zhuǎn)換為介詞+關(guān)系代詞)。方法4:若判斷連詞所引導的從句起副詞的作用(作狀語),則為狀語從句,再根據(jù)兩句之間的意義和邏輯關(guān)系或者從屬連詞在從句中的作用和意義,來確定合適的連詞。3.篇章意義層面方法:了解文章/對話大意,運用上下文語境線索、前后呼應、詞語搭配等邏輯關(guān)系來解題,填入既符合上下文情景,又符合句義、詞義的正確單詞。三、策略舉例1.純空格試題的解題技巧。首先,分析句子結(jié)構(gòu),確定填哪類詞。然后,再根據(jù)句子的意思,確定具體填什么詞;或根據(jù)兩句間的邏輯關(guān)系確定具體用哪個連詞。確定填哪類詞有以下7個技巧:技巧1:缺主語或賓語,一定是填代詞或名詞(多考代詞)。如:[例1]IcansendamessagetoKenyawheneverIwantto,and___38___getstherealmostinasecond.技巧2:名詞前面,若沒有限定詞,很可能是填限定詞(冠詞、形容詞性物主代詞、不定代詞)。如:[例2]Itissaidthatashort-temperedmanintheSongDynasty(960—1279)wasveryanxioustohelp___33___ricecropgrowupquickly.[例3]…theheadofthevillagewastyinguphishorsetomycartopullitto___35___smalltownsome20kilometersawaywheretherewasagarage.技巧3:句子不缺主語、賓語、表語的情況下,名詞或代詞前面,一定是填介詞。[例4]…whoshouldhavethehonourofreceivingme___33___aguestintheirhouse.技巧4:若兩個或幾個單詞或短語之間沒有連詞,可能是填連詞。[例5]…twoworld-famousartists,PabloPicasso___34___CandidoPortinari,whichareworthmillionsofdollars.[例6]…allIsawwasthisbeautifulgirl,whosesmilejustmeltedme___36___almostinstantlygavemeacompletelynewsenseofwhatlifeisallabout.技巧5:若兩句子之間沒有連詞,也沒有分號或句號,一定是填并列連詞或從屬連詞。[例7]Iwantedtoseeasmuchofthecityaspossibleinthetwodays___32___IwastoreturntoGuangzhou.[例8]Hewasverytiredafterdoingthisforawholeday,___37___hefeltveryhappy…技巧6:若結(jié)構(gòu)較完整,空格后的謂語動詞是原形,特別是與上下文時態(tài)不一致或主謂不一致時,很可能是填情態(tài)動詞或表示強調(diào)或倒裝的助動詞(do,does,did等)。[例9]Whatisacceptableinonecountry___31___beconsideredextremelyrudeinanother.[例10]Hehadnotimeorenergytoplaywithhischildrenortalkwithhiswife,buthe____bringhomearegularsalary.技巧7:由特殊的句式結(jié)構(gòu)來判斷空格應填的詞。(1)由itis…that…強調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)形式,判斷填it還是that。如:[例11]…and___40___wasonlyafterIheardshebecamesickthatIlearnedshecouldn’teatMSG(味精)!(2)由倒裝句式判斷,是填構(gòu)成倒裝的條件的only,so,neither,nor,never,hardly,seldom,not,until,had等,還是填do,does,did等。如:[例12]______withhardworkcanyouexpecttogetpayrise.(3)由it作形式主語或形式賓語的句式判斷,空格處是否填it。如:[例13]…as___32___tookthemjustthreeminutestostealpaintingsbytwoworld-famousartists…[例14]Datingsitesalsomake___36___easytoavoidsomeonewhomyouarenotinterestedin.(4)so/such…that…句型。如:[例15]Thismadethegoatsojealous___34___itbeganplottingagainst(謀劃對付)thedonkey.(5)more…than…(與其說……不如說……,比……更……)句型。如:[例16]Cynthia’sstoryshowsvividlythatpeopleremembermorehowmuchamanagercares___40___howmuchhepays.2.給出了動詞的試題的解題技巧首先,判斷要填的動詞是謂語動詞還是非謂語動詞。然后按以下兩點進行思考。技巧8:若句中沒有別的謂語動詞,或者雖然已有謂語動詞,但需填的動詞與之是并列關(guān)系時,所給動詞就是謂語動詞;若是謂語動詞,就要考慮時態(tài)語態(tài)。[例17]Hisfearoffailure___36___(keep)himfromclassroomgamesthatotherchildrenplayedwithjoyousabandon.解析:因主語Hisfearoffailure后沒有別的謂語動詞,需填的動詞應為謂語動詞;因主語與keep是主動關(guān)系,應用主動語態(tài);由從句謂語動詞played可知,要用一般過去時,故填kept。[例18]ThatwasdefinitelynotanattractiveideasoIpolitelydeclinedherInvitation,___40___(close)mybookandwalkedaway.解析:雖然句中已有謂語動詞declined,但由andwalked可知,所填詞與declined和walked是并列關(guān)系,所以也用一般過去式closed。[例19]InLogan,threepeople___38___(take)toahospital,whileothersweretreatedatalocalclinic.解析:因主語threepeople與take是被動關(guān)系,即三個人被送進醫(yī)院,故用被動語態(tài);由weretreated可知,要用一般過去時,故填weretaken。技巧9:若句中已有謂語動詞,又不是并列謂語時,所給動詞就是非謂語動詞。若是非謂語動詞就要確定用—ing形式、—ed形式,還是用不定式形式,確定的方法主要有:(1)作主語或賓語,通常用—ing形式表示習慣或一般情況,用不定式表示具體的情況。如:[例20]…butitisnotenoughonly___35___(memorize)rulesfromagrammarbook.解析:因it是形式主語,后面用不定式作真正的主語,故填tomemorize。[例21]______(speak)outyourinnerfeelingwon’tmakeyoufeelashamed,onthecontrary…解析:句中已有謂語won’t
