LotuspalaceofTangDynastyTerra-cottawarriors--QinDynasty秦始皇兵馬俑TheSilkRoad絲綢之路BigandLittleGoosePagodas大小雁塔Shaanxiisoneofcivilizedimportant,alltogetherChinaheadstream,asfarbackashavingLantianMantogrowworkhererightawayinthefrontfor1000000years,startingfromthe11thcenturyB.C.,successivelyhave13inhistorydynastyfoundacapitalhere.Shaanxiofbeingthatourcountryculturalrelicsandhistoricsitesgatherstogether,nameofhaving"thenaturalhistorymuseum":AcientChangAncountyCityhistoricalremains,areknownaseighthShaanxinotonlyculturalrelicsandhistoricsitesisalotof,butalsonaturalsceneisbeautiful:HaveprecipitousWestHuanghetouristareagivingfirstplacetoprotectingagiantpandawaitingforarareanimal.NotonlynorthernShaanxihighlandbeChineserevolutionbasearea,butalsobeShaanxifolkcustomlocalmannersandfeelingsheadstream:Shaanxioperaloudandsonorous,vehementgonganddrum,consummatepaper-cutandextremelyrichlifebreathpeasantpaintingetc.,thesighthavingattractedmoreandmoremanyattention'sallwithit'sculturethickandheavybottomrhymeanddistinctiveloessamorousfeeling.largestintheworldmiracleQinShiHuang'sBuriedSculptureLegion,grandgrandsight72emperorsmausoleumbigorsmall,...DistantvastChinacivilizationmakeseveryonefirstthepeoplewhoarrivesatShaanxinotexcavateheartprofunditymeditatingonthepastconscientiouslyXi'an,thecapitalcityofShaanxiProvince,islocatedinthecentralareaofnorthwestChina.Itsitsonanancientsiteandtherearelayersofcitiesofdifferentnamesbeneathandaroundthecity.Thelandisfertile,renewedyearlybythesiltfromtheYellowRiver.Sincetheageofthenomads,peoplehavesettledinthisrichlandtotakeadvantageoftherelativelyflatlandscape,plentifulwater,andeaseoftravel.AsoneoftheancientcapitalsofChina,itserved12imperialdynastiesforoverathousandyears.Today,Xi'anisatreasurehouseofhistoricalrelicsandculturalheritage.XianwascalledChang'anintheHanDynasty,whichliterallymeansaplaceofpermanentpeace.ThecitywasrenamedXi'anin1369.Fromthe11centuryB.C.onwards,Xi'anwasthecapitalcityof11successivedynasties,includingtheWesternZhou,theQin,theHan,theSuiandtheTangdynasties;inadditionXi'anhadalsoservedasthecapitaloftwopeasantregimes,undertheruleofHuangChaoandLiZicheng.Thecity'scapitalstatuslastedfor1,608years.Indeed,Xi'anhasmadeanunparalleledcontributiontothehistoryandcultureofChina.Formorethanamillennium,itwasthestageonwhichthehistoriesofmorethanadozenChinesedynastiesunfolded.EverymoveandeveryactionoriginatingfromXi'anhadafar-reachinginfluenceonthecourseofChina'ssocialdevelopment.Itiswhere,threethousandyearsago,thearistocratsoftheZhoudynastyinstitutedritesandcomposedmusic,whileofferinglibationstogodsandancestorsandfeastingthemselvesoutofbronzeutensils.Itiswhere,twothousandyearsago,theQinarmyeliminatedsixrivalstatesandinitiatedthefirstcentralizedautocracy,whichstartedoffa20century-longimperialhistoryinChinaandexertedafar-reachinginfluenceonsubsequentdynasties.Xi'anwasthestartingpointofthefamousSilkRoadwhenthepathtowealthemergedduringtheHandynasty;andreacheditshistoricalapexduringtheflourishingandprosperousTangDynasty1300yearsago.ManyhistoriansbelievethattheChang'anoftheTangDynastywasoneofthelargestcitiesintheworld;andforthousandsofinternationaltradersandmerchants,Chang'anwasapromisinglandfulloffortune.TheEnglishword"China"isatransliterationoftheChineseideogrammeaning"Qin".ThosewholiveinandaroundXi'anaredirectdescendentsoftheQinpeople.EmperorschoseXi'anastheircapitalpartlybecauseofitsfertilelandandsufficientwatersupplyandpartlybecauseitwasmilitarilyformidable,becauseofthemountainsthatskirtedit.ItispreciselybecauseofitssomewhatisolatedlocationthatXi'anwasabletopreservesomuchofitshistoryandculturetothisday.ThelocaldialectofXi'anandtheGuanzhongPlainisreflectiveoftherhythmandtimbreofarchaicChinese.Weddings,funerals,celebrations,diet,andsocialetiquetteareallevocativeofthesocialmoresandtraditionsofthedynastiesoftheZhou,Qin,HanandTang.Soit'snowonderthatsomesayXi'anisthehistoricalcenterofChinatoday.AnancientphilosopheroncemusedthatallthoseseekingthetruthshouldgotoChina;andacontemporaryphilosopherconsolidateditwiththatnovisittoChinaiscompletewithoutajourneytoXi'an.Today,therichhistoricalandculturalheritageofXi'anisvisiblethroughawealthofculturalrelics,museums,andhistoricalsitesincludingtheworld-famousterracottawarriorsofEmperorQinShiHuang.Theflatplaneonthecity'soutskirtsisstrewnwiththetombmoundsofemperors,empresses,aristocrats,rankingofficialsandscholarsfromancienttimes.TheremainsofpastcivilizationsareevidenceofeverymajorepochinChina'shalfamillionyearhistory.ThehistoryapparentinXianissoancientandcontinuousthatthecityhasnoparallelanywhereasaculturalsite.InXi'anyouwillfindyourselfinaworldofamazingartifacts.YoucanvisitthesitesonceinhabitedbyChina'sp
