Unit 10 Im going to be a basketball player.一、教材分析本單元是Go for it八年級(上)unit 10,主要是圍繞職業(yè)這一話題展開各種教學活動,本單元旨在創(chuàng)造一個輕松、愉快的學習交流環(huán)境,通過聽、說、讀、寫來培養(yǎng)學生運用知識的能力,并讓學生能在做中學,通過課堂的各種實踐活動準確地運用英語來表達。1語言知識本單元要求掌握以下重點詞匯:computer programmer, professional, basketball player, engineer, pilot, take lessons, grades, dream job, grow up, move to, exhibition, resolutions, get good grades, get a part-time job, make more friends.2. 語言功能:描述將來的打算3語言目標:a. What do you want to be when you grow up? Im going to be a computer programmer.b. How are you going to do that? Im going to study computer science.4. 語言結(jié)構(gòu):a. be going to表示將來。b. want to bec. what, where, when, how引導的特殊疑問句。5學習策略與思維技巧 a. 聯(lián)系情境會話。 b. 角色扮演。二、教學的重點和難點基于上述的分析,確定本單元的教學重點為詞匯;運用What do you want to be when you grow up? How are you going to do that?來詢問將來的打算以及描述將來的打算。教學難點為運用what, where, when, how引導的特殊疑問句來詢問將來來的打算以及描述將來的打算。三、教學方法1本單元的話題與學生的生活聯(lián)系緊密,基于此,創(chuàng)設生活化的真實情景,引導學生在語言學習中學習語言,然后再創(chuàng)造性地使用。2開展多種活動,給學生充分的交流空間,加強學生間的合作學習,并引導學生進行探究學習。四、教學過程 Period 1(P59-60) 宜昌市八中 王家翠Step 1. Greetings.Step 2 Revision.1. What do I do? What do you do?2. Revise the words about jobs.Step 3 Vocabulary teaching 1. Use six pictures on the video to teach the new words. a professional basketball player, an engineer, a computer programmer, an actor, a pilot, astronaut 2. Test your memory.Step 4 Do with 1a. Do you think these jobs are interesting? Rank them (1-6), then tell the reasons. (1 is the most interesting, 6 is the least interesting)Step 5 Presentation 1. Use one of my pictures to let the students guess: a. Whos this? b. What did I want to be when I was a middle school student? c. How did I do that? 2. Ask the students questions. a. Act out.Step 7 Learn a chant What are you going to be when you grow up? Actor, actor, actor. How are you going to do that? Take acting lessons, take acting lessons. What are you going to be when you grow up? Basketball player, basketball player. How are you going to do that? Play basketball everyday, Play basketball everyday.Step 8 Listening 1. 1b. First, listen and match the items, then check the answers. 2. 2a, 2b. First, listen and check the correct boxes in the picture, then listen again and fill in the chart. (What are Cheng Hans plans in the future? Third, check the answers.Step 9 Make a survey 1. Let the students ask their friends questions and fill in the chart. 2. Give a report.Step 10 Homework. Write a passage about the survey. Period 2(P60-61) 宜昌市八中 李平Step 1 Revision Review the job words weve learned in the first period. By showing flash cards. Step 2 Lead-in 2c詢問同學Do you still remember Cheng Han?之后向大家展示幻燈片, 并請兩位同學進行問答:Whats Cheng Han going to be?Where is he going to move? 新知識的導入建立在已掌握的舊知識基礎之上,學生的現(xiàn)實生活經(jīng)驗有助于他們理解能力的提高。他們所學的新知識需要借助原有的生活經(jīng)驗,才容易被理解和接受。Step 3 Pairwork 再向大家展示3張幻燈片,要求同學二人一組,仿造2c 編新對話。Step 4 Presentation 教新單詞展示1張關于巴黎的幻燈片,讓同學思考:這是一座怎樣的城市?借此教新單詞:artist,exhibition 等。Step 5 Reading 3a 展示1張女孩的照片在幻燈片上,告訴同學們:Her name is Tian Tian.She wrote a diary to tell us about her future.Lets read it and underline the things that she is going to do. 學生快速閱讀之后并回答:What is she going to do?Where is she going to move? 此環(huán)節(jié)教之于閱讀技巧:帶著問題閱讀,具有針對性,學生能抓住文章大意,也便于學生快速找到答案。Step 6 Explain the language items. 處理了上面的問題后,再對甜甜的日記中部分知識點給以解釋,并展示在幻燈片上。 此環(huán)節(jié)屬于精讀,有助于學生詳細理解全文句型結(jié)構(gòu)等。Step 7 Pairwork 3b先讓兩位學生閱讀對話,其余學生聽并回答What is she going to do? Where is she going to work? 再讓學生據(jù)自己的理想完成表格,最后仿照3b進行分組活動。 學習的過程是自我生成的過程,這種生成是他人無法取代的,是由內(nèi)向外的生長,而不是由外向內(nèi)的灌輸。因此,在課堂教學中,教師一定要把時間和空間還給學生,讓學生最大限度的扮演主角。Step 8 Groupwork 4 展示一張2008奧運會會標在幻燈片上,詢問學生:奧運會召開期間你打算做些什么?在學生思考好后讓其進行分組討論活動。 此環(huán)節(jié)使學生在輕松愉快的氣氛中學習英語,讓他們感到學習是一種樂趣,而不是負擔,從而樂于開口說英語,提高學習效率。Step 9 Section A已學完后來個語法梳理,讓學生對所學知識歸納總結(jié) 。此環(huán)節(jié)既體現(xiàn)了學以致用,又體現(xiàn)了學科間的整合。Step 10 Homework 1.讀,記讀記本節(jié)課所學單詞. 2.以 My dream job 為題寫一篇作文,介紹自己未來理想的工作. Period 3(P62)宜昌市八中 劉世平Step 1 Lead in the new lesson 由過新年許愿、談新年設想來導入新課,該話題應該是學生很感興趣的話題,有親身經(jīng)歷合體會,新課的導入便順理成章,水到渠成。 新知識需要借助原有的生活經(jīng)驗,才容易被理解和接受。Step 2 To lean the verb phrases通過圖片的內(nèi)容來導入動詞詞組,充分體現(xiàn)情景教學。Step 3 Pairwork -What are you going to do next year? -Im going to +V原+通過活動來加強對所學知識的理解。Step 4 1a. Match the pictures with the New Years Resolution.
