Play it again, stop after each sentence and ask some students to repeat the stressed word or phrase. Correct the students pronunciation when necessary.Task 2 The teachers should sum up the general rules of stresses in English words. Ask the students to think of more examples and to practice them in class.Task 3 Ask the students to repeat them until they can learn them by heart. Explain the connotation of the expressions when necessary. Ask volunteers to read the poem in class and see who can do it best in pronunciation, fluency and intonation. It will be better if the teachers give the model reading first.2) Testing Your EarsThis part is designed to build the students ability in listening. All the exercises here are concerned with profession and career.Task 1 & Task 2Tell the students to read the four choices in advance so that they are better prepared for the answers. Its a useful technique when they take a test.Task 3 This exercise aims to build the students ability in listening for key words in a conversation. Ask the students to take notes of key words while listening.Task 4This exercise requires the students to fill in the blanks with the words or phrases they hear and this helps improve the students ability in dictation.Step 2 Leading-in (Text A)Group work: (1)The teacher lets the students discuss the questions: 1. Whats your dream? 2. What factors are the most important in realizing your dream? 3. What may have to be given up for the realization of your dream?After discussion, let some of them present their opinions.Step 3 Word studyThe teacher lets the students pronounce the new words one by one. If they go wrong, the teacher will correct them.
