4、組織了追思母親的活動(dòng),并鼓勵(lì)他人也以類似方式來表達(dá)對(duì)各自慈母的感激之情。此后,她到處游說并向社會(huì)各界呼吁,號(hào)召設(shè)立母親節(jié)。她的呼吁獲得熱烈響應(yīng)。1913年5月10日,美國(guó)參眾兩院通過決議案,由威爾遜總統(tǒng)簽署公告,決定每年5月的第二個(gè)星期日為母親節(jié)。這一舉措引起世界各國(guó)紛紛仿效,至1948年安娜謝世時(shí),已有43個(gè)國(guó)家設(shè)立了母親節(jié)。,Mothers Day,父親節(jié)的來歷: 1909年,華盛頓一位叫布魯斯-多德的夫人,在慶賀母親節(jié)的時(shí)候突然產(chǎn)生了一個(gè)念頭:既然有母親節(jié),為什么不能有父親節(jié)呢?多德夫人和她的5個(gè)弟弟早年喪母,他們由慈愛的父親一手養(yǎng)大的。姐弟6人時(shí)?;叵肫鸶赣H含辛茹苦養(yǎng)家的情景。于是,她

May I try it on? try on 試穿 如: try on the shoes before you buy them. 【拓展】 (1)try to do sth.“努力去做,盡力做”=try ones best to do 如:He tried to climb the tree. 他試著努力爬那棵樹。 (2)try doing sth. 指“嘗試做看看,有何結(jié)果”,暗示在這之前已試過某種方法但不奏效,另試其他方法。 如:If no one answer

9、s the door, why not try knocking the back door?,May I try it on? try on意為 “試穿(衣、鞋、帽等), 它是由“動(dòng)詞+副詞”構(gòu)成的短語,其后接 名詞作賓語,將其置于副詞on之后或之前均可,但如果賓語是人稱代詞,則只能將 人稱代詞賓格置于on之前。如: You can try on this skirt before you buy it. = You can try this skirt on before you buy it. 【練習(xí)】完成句子。 These shoes are nice. Thats too much. 區(qū)分 too much 和 much too 以上2個(gè)短語都強(qiáng)調(diào)的是后面的單詞, much too是too的強(qiáng)勢(shì)語,用法與too相同。如: You are much too kind to me.你對(duì)我實(shí)在太好了。 This one is much too big.這個(gè)確實(shí)太大了。 too much是much的強(qiáng)勢(shì)語,用法與much相似。如: Dont eat too much.別吃得太多。 Theres too much water.水太多了。,4. 11、采取、穿,【拓展】take 短語,take back 收回、接回、退回 take down 寫下、記下 take in 收留、包括、理解、欺騙 take off 脫下、起飛、打折扣 take on 聘用、雇用、呈現(xiàn)、顯現(xiàn) take up 繼續(xù)、占去(時(shí)間或空間),5. The strawberries look fresh. look在這里是感官系動(dòng)詞,表示“看起來”,其后加 形容詞,和be動(dòng)詞用法類似。 【拓展】感官系動(dòng)詞還有 sound, smell, taste, feel等,當(dāng)這幾個(gè)詞用作連系動(dòng)詞的時(shí)候,它們的意思分別是“聽起來”、“聞起來”、“嘗起來”、“摸起來”,其后直接加形容詞!
