1、 used to 的用法:“過去常常,過去習(xí)慣過去常常,過去習(xí)慣” 表示過去經(jīng)常發(fā)生的狀態(tài)和動作,此狀態(tài)和習(xí)慣現(xiàn)在已不存在。 其中的to是不定式符號不定式符號,不是介詞,其后要接動詞原形。 used to be+adj.(形容詞) 過去是(現(xiàn)在已非如此) She used to be shy. used to do(動詞原形) 過去常常做某事(表過去的習(xí)慣,現(xiàn)在已非如此) We used to swim in the river. 注意 used to通常不與具體的一般不能與表示次數(shù)不能與表示次數(shù)(如twice, three times 等)或一段時間一段時間(如three months, f

2、ive years等)的詞連用。 eg:正:I went to Paris three times. 我去過巴黎3次。 誤:I used to go to Paris three times. 正:He lived in the country for three years. 他在鄉(xiāng)下住過3年。 誤:He used to live in the country for three years. 3、e used to , but now he short tall used to的否定句 used not to /didnt use to used to作為情態(tài)動詞情態(tài)動詞,可直接在used后加not構(gòu)成否定式 ,但與一般的情態(tài)動詞 不同的,它也可像普通動詞普通動詞那樣借助助動詞did構(gòu)成否定式 . eg: He usednt didnt use to come. 他過去不常來。 【注】在現(xiàn)代英語中,used to的否定式和疑問式通常借助助動詞借助助動詞did構(gòu)成構(gòu)成 (特別是在口語和非正式文體中),而直接將used作為助動詞用通常被認(rèn)為是 非常正統(tǒng)或過時的用法。然而有趣的是,有時還可見

6、t he? used to 與與 be used to的用法比較的用法比較 be used to 意為“習(xí)慣于習(xí)慣于”, “習(xí)慣于”某一客觀事實和狀態(tài),不強調(diào)動作, 其中的to是介詞介詞,后接動詞要用動名詞動名詞。 eg:He is used to living in the country. 他已習(xí)慣于住在鄉(xiāng)下。 Iamusedtotheweatherhere. 【注注】 若要強調(diào)從不習(xí)慣到習(xí)慣的過程的轉(zhuǎn)變,可用 get, become 等代替動 詞be,它往往包含著克服困難去適應(yīng)的意思。 eg:He has got used to looking after himself. 他已習(xí)慣于自
