14、and improving my teaching.stage 2 problem analysisdo my own projecttask 1 problem analysisi have decided to use the analytic method, cause analysis and socratic dialogue to analyze my problem.the task designas analyzed by the analytic method and let the students study english by heart. sometimes, le

17、rammar exercise i taught while most of students cant. most of students dont know the techniques for learning english. moreover, they are afraid of making efforts still, most of students are accustomed to the subject that is nothing to do with english. that is, most of students dont know the knowledg
18、e of english, the way of learning english. they think learning english is not useful. as a result, they feel difficult when they are asked to do some exercisesthe analytic methodthe phrase “ some of in some of my students dont like to study english , made me think of the other side of the issue: som
19、e of my other students which are a few students like to study english . this, in turn, made me think of these:why some dont while a few do?who are the some that dont study? and who are a few students that do?moreover, “my students is in contrast with “my colleagues-students this prompted me to make
20、a chain of reflection:what about some of my colleagues -students? is it also the case that most of them dont like to study english either? if on the other hand, all of my colleagues students like, my problem is actually caused by myself, not by my students .probably dont like to do ,which i asked th
21、em to do the exercise after the analytic method and cause analysis, i feel quite strongly that my poor design of learning english situation is the primary cause of my students dislike of learning english. socratic dialoguemost of students dont like learning english i taught.why do i want to create s
22、ituation of learning english?because of many students don't like learning english. why do i think that it is useful for creating situations?because creating situations can arouse students' interest in learning english . how to create situations?i can use english song, tongue twisters, games,
23、 children rhymes to create.why dont they like learning english r? well, they never learn english before they enter grade one junior. now they learn english as they learn chinese .and english is difficult for them to study. presently, what is the problem in the course of learning english?i think it i
24、s difficult to understand the meaning of english sentences .indeed, through my problem analysis, i have come to realization: it is necessary to study english, then design the techniques for teaching aspects of english the result of the analysis may indicate that students feel they need interest rela
25、xing and vital situations of learning. as traditional teaching and learning, they don't like learning english at all. they all hope that teachers improve their teaching methods to enhance students' interest. stage 3project designi am entering into third stage of the project now. i have
26、 four things to do: (1) to formulate my project objective. (2) to formulate my project hypothesis. (3) spell out my project rationale. (4) design classroom teaching tasks.through the problem analysis in part 2, i came to know that the problem that most of my students dont like study english is mainl
27、y due to my students interests of learning english. i have made up mind to start a project to solve the problem, 、my project objective is:to bridge the gap between classrooms language teaching and real life language use and improve communicative competence 、my project in english is communication abi
28、lity.students' interests in learn english can be aroused by creating a lot of learning situations and better-designed methodsso i call my project: to create learning english situation and arouse students' interest . 、my possible solutions:for this reason, in my opinion, i have provided some
29、possible solutions, which are follows: first,read a lot of english, beginning from junior time read many english stories and jokes. the stories and jokes were interesting. thus they have got to be more and more interested in english learned a lot of the language through reading widely.second, have k
30、ept a diary in english. just write down what they do, what they see and what they think of every day. they try their best to express themselves the most simple words. in this way they have improved their writing ability a lot. on the other hand, this diary writing has also helped them to form the ha
31、bit to think in english.i asked students to copy some important structures and grammar difficulties .if they have free time, they should read them loudly for some minutes. so does it, i think it is very good for students to master useful sentences at last ,in junior middle school teaching , they are
32、 many methods to arouse the students' interests ,in order to improve interests of learning english to them ,i made some projects such as : tongue twisters ,games ,children rhymes and verses , songs .the project rationale. 1 、the role of classr
33、oom activity and its purposegenerally speaking, vocabulary has become one of the vital standards in english study. for example, english majors are required to master 5000-6000 words, though vocabulary plays a core role in learning a foreign language , it seems that it has been one of the principal o
34、bstacles to most people for a long time because the required vocabulary is so large and many a word has more than one meaning.id like to give classroom activity the purpose of acceptance and understanding, making it as lively and intuitive as possible. classroom activity isnt to be judged as perform
35、ance, this means that the students should feel relaxed and free about leaning a word and sentence or answering questions. they should also see that classroom activity has purpose and they themselves play a core role in the classroom, activity. ( the teacher doesnt have to evaluate all the tire)2、
36、60; the role of the studentsi would like the students to feel that learning is a collaborative endeavor and not a competitive one. they should come to realize that mastering large number of vocabulary can help them to listen to the teacher or others and understand the content bette
37、r and express their own ideas better.3、the role of the teacherstudents should realize that the teacher has many roles in the classroom, not just that of evaluator. the chief role is a leader. id like my students to get used to being responsible to their own learning and not depend on the teacher all
38、 the time.4、the type of classroom tasks used i think all of above can he felt with designing and using appropriate tasks in the lesson. . standing on systematic vocabulary and fixing eyes outside teaching vocabulary. let them make more students with words and practice together, i feel they can reali

40、n?c. how does good classroom activity design increase learners vocabulary!<2> socratic dialoguei cant use scientific teaching method in class. i only tell meaning, inflection, pronunciation in the text, and before class i dont prepare for it and dont look up the related usage.some
41、lessons are the same, the students arent interested in it. they cant hear and remember correctly what the teacher said. they are afraid of making mistakes of pronunciation and being laughed at by their classmates, or they dont read the text and express their opinions at all.how does learners vocabul
42、ary increase?if the classroom activity design is good, lively, intuitive, scientific and reasonable, they can understand teacher easily and understand the vocabulary of the text, the can read and remember the vocabulary easily. of course, they have confidence in studying. the students can spell the
43、words truly, they have confidence in studying farther.<3> design a draft questionnaireplease answer the following questions:1 what is the precondition to read of the text in the book?a. vocabulary, phrases and habitual structures.b. individual words or something else.2. what kinds of classroom
44、 activities can attract learners attention?a. the one with inspirational organization.b. the one with traditional organization.3. what teaching method can make learners remember vocabulary better?a. standing systematic vocabulary and fixing eyes outside can learners remember vocabulary longer?b. tea
45、ching words in isolation. 4. to learn language, it is necessary that teacher must teach grammar by creating learning situation of making students product resonance, let students study specific language in specific situation .for example: sometimes, you can ask just like this: "nice to meet you
46、again .how are you today? it is a fine day today". after having music class, you can ask: "you had a music lesson just now, are you happy?" politely language can arouse and train interests of learning english. 5. from the project i have learned that situation-creating and arousing stu
47、dent' interests were very important for learning language. i found there were many situations in which we used more than one method, for this reason alone, it was valuable to integrate the language skills, but there were other reasons why integration can enhance the students' communicative c
48、ompetence. many educationalists stress the importance of creating learning situation and arousing students interests and it can improve their communicative competence.6. if students are able to read a short story, this skill will help them to write their own stories. in the same way, if they u
49、nderstand a dialogue about buying things in a shop, they can use this for practicing their own speaking skills in a similar situation. above on, creating situation means that you are working at the level of realistic communication, which is the aim of the communicative approach and many researchers
50、believe that handling realistic communication is an integral part of essential conditions for language learning. in my project ,i decide to improve my methods in some ways , i would give students some tongue twisters ,games ,children rhymes and verses songs to create learning situation and arouse st
51、udents' interests . i have designed six activities to be tried out in four weeks. week 1 activity1 sing an english songpurpose: to improve the childrens interests. procedure: 1. let students to observe this picture spring scenery figure, describe the spring of appearance,
52、feeling about spring, etc., and answer these questions:(1) which season do you like best?(2) why?(3) which season do you think is here?(4) whats in the picture?(5) do you like spring?2. the teacher to students read the lyrics and solution lyrics mean. 3. the tape to learn singing songs.4. the role s
53、inging: some students learn a cuckoo call, some students cheerfully jump, some students follow music play rhythmweek 2 activity 1 how is the weather?this activity is based as in junior english for shan xi, book5 unit 1lesson 1 purpose; chant of learning is an effective way to practice th
54、e new content, its chant and rhythms can help students to improve language proficiency. at the meanwhile, to make it easy and to make the class lovely. procedure: when i finished teaching the text, i told the class that we would play a game .like this:1. show them the picture and let students
55、discuss problems:(1) how is the weather?(2) what is in the picture?(3)what does the dog in the picture?(4) do you like the picture?2. listen to the tape, chant. the student to listen, look at the pictures and repeat.3. students are encouraged to say when do the action and chant with expression.
56、; week 2 activity 2 what are they doing?look! there are many birds in the sky. they are singing and dancing .on the grass are sheep, horses and cows .they are eating grass now. the fish is swimming in the water. there is a house in the picture. a boy and a girl are flying a kite.this activity is based as in junior english for shan xi, book 8 lesson 6 "what are they doing?”purpose: to practice some words about animals, such as; dog, sheep, bird, fish, project preparation: a beautiful natural scenery paintingprocedure: do you know which animals english name, please communicat
