1、unit 7 it s raining!一、教學(xué)背景這一單元的中心話題是 describe the weather。語(yǔ)法現(xiàn)象是 present progressive tense。繼 unit6i m watching tv第二次出現(xiàn)了現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài),是上一單元的延續(xù)。比較上一單元,本單元增設(shè)了一個(gè)日常生活中重要的情景 talking about the weather 。學(xué)生不但要具備并熟練地掌握現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)的意識(shí)和技巧,并且要會(huì)運(yùn)用這一時(shí)態(tài)描述在各種天氣背景下人的活動(dòng)。二、 教材內(nèi)容本單元語(yǔ)言訓(xùn)練的重點(diǎn)是( 1)談?wù)撎鞖?;?)描述正在發(fā)生的動(dòng)作。重點(diǎn)語(yǔ)言結(jié)構(gòu)是( 1)how 引導(dǎo)的特殊疑問(wèn)
2、句; (2)yes/no 問(wèn)句及答語(yǔ); (3)現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)的用法。 section a 主要是聽(tīng)讀說(shuō)和基礎(chǔ)語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用,為目標(biāo)句型提供分步示例和指導(dǎo)性練習(xí); section b 知識(shí)擴(kuò)展、新舊知識(shí)的運(yùn)用,循序漸進(jìn)的寫作練習(xí);運(yùn)用所學(xué)的語(yǔ)言完成各種任務(wù)使學(xué)生能夠?qū)σ呀?jīng)學(xué)過(guò)的目標(biāo)句型運(yùn)用自如: self -check 自我評(píng)價(jià),詞匯知識(shí)的評(píng)價(jià),語(yǔ)言應(yīng)用能力的評(píng)價(jià)。三、 單元總體學(xué)習(xí)目標(biāo)1、詞匯 基礎(chǔ)核心詞匯: sunny, cloudy, snowing, raining, windy, cold, hot, cool, warm, humid,terrible掌握:rain, snow, weathe

5、、談?wù)撎鞖夂退龅氖聲r(shí)所用的交際用語(yǔ),學(xué)會(huì)與人友好相處。3)通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)和對(duì)比不同天氣背景下人的活動(dòng),激發(fā)學(xué)生的內(nèi)在情感,進(jìn)行愛(ài)的教育。4)能在小組活動(dòng)中積極與他人合作,相到幫助,共同完成學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)。6、文化意識(shí)了解不同地方和不同的天氣背景下人們能做的事,互相交流不同國(guó)家的文化,對(duì)學(xué)生進(jìn)行不同文化意識(shí)的滲透。同時(shí)讓了解其他國(guó)家風(fēng)景,風(fēng)俗,增加學(xué)生的背景知識(shí),增強(qiáng)學(xué)科間的交流。培養(yǎng)學(xué)生具有一定的環(huán)保意識(shí)、責(zé)任意識(shí)和關(guān)愛(ài)他人之心。7、學(xué)習(xí)策略通過(guò)任務(wù)型的教學(xué),讓學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)自主學(xué)習(xí),歸納總結(jié),培養(yǎng)主動(dòng)學(xué)習(xí)的能力。尤其對(duì)所學(xué)內(nèi)容能主動(dòng)復(fù)習(xí)并加以整理和歸納的能力。四、分課時(shí)教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)period onesecti

8、y/sunny/snowing/.how s it going? great! /not bad! /terrible! /pretty good!teaching proceduresstep1. warming up1. ask the ss randomly: what s the date today? what day is it today? how are you?2. give a new expression which has the same meaning as how are you? : how s it going? but thenew one has more
9、 answers.step2. presentation1. show 4 faces on the screen and ask ss to describe each face using whatever words they can.help ss identify each person is feeling.2. then show 4 words. say the words and ask ss to repeat each one. ask ss to match eachremembered phrase with a face. encourage them to spe
10、ll the phrases by how do you spell it?3. practice with the new structure by the whole class: choose one to the front and the othersguess the description words through his/her facial expressions.step3. presentation1. let one student ask me: ho w s it going? i may answer like this: terrible! because i
11、t s snowiand it s so cold. show a picture of snowing day and children are making a snowman and pretend to bevery cold. make ss guess the words: the weather and snowing. ask them: how r? gets the weathethem to answer like: it snsowing/snowy. go on with other kinds of weather: sunny, rainy, cloudy,win
12、dy.2. point out the numbered list of description words. say each one and ask ss to repeat the wordsagain. then ask ss to match each word with one of cities in the picture. check the answers.3. play the tape and get ss to write the city names in the boxes. check the answers. look at the 5pictures in
13、1a. encourage ss to use the description words to describe the weather: beijing sunnyand warm/hot shanghai cloudy and cool boston windy and cool moscow snowing andcold toronto raining and humid. show an arrow to identify the degree of the 4 adjectives: cold,cool, warm and hot.4. practice with the str
14、uctures: how sthe weather? and what sthe weather like? with the 5pictures the exact weather on that day should not be missed. note: talking about the weather is quitecommon in western countries as a daily greeting.step4. weather reportshow a weather map of china. get ss to make a weather report as a
15、 cctv anchor. they maybegin with asking the weather in each city, then make up a report about it.step5. chantshow an easy chant to reinforce the questions and words about the weather.step6. homework1. copy the new words 4 times each.2. summarize the usages of how in questions.3. watch a weather repo
