Its a topic that is close to our daily life. So it is helpful to raise the students interests of English and it will be also helpful to im
2、prove their spoken English. In this module, Unit 1 is focus on listening, speaking and written skills. It helps the students to get a general idea of invitations. If the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful for the Ss to learn the rest parts of this unit. Therefore this lesson is in the importan
3、t position of the teaching material.II. Analysis of the teaching aims In my opinion, the teaching aims are made according to Junior School English syllabus. 1.Knowledge objects (1)To learn new words and phrases of time and place(2) To understand conversations about inviting someone to the cinema.2.A
4、bility objects (1) To train the Ss abilities of four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. (2) To learn how to invite others to the cinema, etc. (task1)(3) To learn how to write invitations (task2)(4) To enable the Ss to study in groups3.Moral objects (1) To encourage the Ss to communica
5、te with others by learning the useful structures. (2) To encourage the Ss to be polite to others(3) To develop the Ss interest in English.III. Analysis of the key points and difficulties1.Key points: (1) key new words: would, cinema, film, star, match, team, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Fri
6、day, Saturday, Sunday(2)phrases: in the evening, in the afternoon, invite sb. to do sth., be on(3)prepositions of time: in, at, on(4)key structures: Would you like to? Lets when ? Where?2.Difficult points: (1) Phrases of time: in the morning/afternoon/evening, at noon, at night, on+days(2)Making and
7、 accepting invitations (3)write an invitation according to the information of advertisementsIV. Students caseIn this unit, students have to practise their listening, speaking and written skills. Most of the students can follow the teaching steps. They can learn the new words by themselves and most o
8、f them are interested in English. But some of them need help. V. Teaching aidsMulti-media computer, Tape recorder, PowerPoint an so on will be needed in this lesson.VI. Teaching methodsIn order to make the students be interested in learning and to meet the needs of students in different levels and l
9、et the Ss to get a better understanding of this unit, I will use different teaching methods to present the text.1. audio-visual methodI will teach the new words by the audio-visual method. I will show some pictures to the students to provide a real situation then let them learn the new words directl
10、y from the pictures. 2. oral method Students practise the sentence patterns of making and accepting invitations in pairs. Besides they make up dialogues of invitations. In this way, students are hoped to master the skills of making invitations.3. task-based teachingstudents learn this lesson with th
11、e tasks of listening to the tape, making up dialogues and writing the invitation.4. Communicative methodLet the students make up dialogues according to the information of advertisements and invite their classmates to do something together. In this way, students can do more communications with others
12、.To use all these methods are helpful to cultivate the students abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language.XI. Teaching proceduresI.
