1、Task 1 G - letter writingThis task assesses the candidates ability to follow English letter writing conventions (i.e. what order to put information in, what style to use, how to start and finish a letter), to use language accurately and appropriately and to organize and link information coherently a

2、nd cohesivelyThe situations they are asked to write about are common, everyday topics. such as writing to a college accommodation officer about problems with accommodation writing to a new employer about time management problems they are having writing to a local newspaper about a plan to develop a

3、local airport writing to a renting agency to sort out problems with the heating system in their houseThe style of writing that candidates use depends who they are asked to write to. Candidates need to write in a style that is appropriate for their audience and that will help them to achieve their pu

4、rpose for writing, e.g. writing to a friend (informal) writing to a manager (semi-formal or formal). All the information from the bullet points must be included. Candidates should note that they will be penalized for irrelevance if the response is off-topic or is not written as full, connected texte

5、.g. using bullet points in any part of the response, or note form etc. They will be severely penalized if their writing is plagiarized (i.e. copied from another source). Candidates do not need to include any addresses at the head of their letters. Candidates may be required to request or give inform

6、ation and/or explain a situation. To do this, they may need to do some of the following: ask for general factual information provide general factual information express needs, wants express likes or dislikes express opinions/feeling express complaints make requests make suggestions/recommendations 劍
