4、ers.AnotherChinesenameforitis“fourunlikes,.”becausetheanimalswereseenashavingthehornsofastag,theneckofacamel,thefootofacow,andthetailofanass.TheseanimalswerefirstmadeknowntoWesternscienceinthe19thcentury,byFatherArmandDavid,aFrenchmissionaryworkinginChina.Atthetime,theonlysurvivingherdwasinapreserve

5、belongingtotheChineseemperor.ThelastherdofMiludeersthatremainedinChinawereeatenbyWesternandJapanesetroopsthatwerepresentatthetimeoftheBoxerRebellion.Thesedeerarenowfoundinzoosaroundtheworld,andaherdofMiludeerwasreintroducedtoDafeng1DefiningwildlifeReserve,Chinainthelate1980s.Theyareclassifiedas“crit
