What made matters worse ist my high school teachersprovided us with virtually zero guidance concerning our college applications, notbecause they lack of theention, but simply because they know nothing aboutit. Later I realizedt this isan utter mistake, for what they did was simply giving us the timeline of theapplication pros, translating myal sement andmendationletters from Chio English, and finallying out all my materials to theUS. All of these simple tasks could b
7、e performed by myself, and this misfortunesurely could have been avoided if I had the luck to meet more competentteachers, with the ability to warn students and their parents, about the black-hearted agencies and lay out lucid plans for students future.The capability to find the students who need as
8、sistance most and help them, on the other hand, is nott imperative. The reason for this is quite simple, sincehigh school students would come to teachers votarily if they are in serioustrouble. In other words, many times students dont want to be bothered by ateacher who treats them like a baby-sitte

As for the “help” part, I firmly hold thefaitht all teachers are already equipped with the willingness to solve studentsproblem gladly, using their prehistoricers, no matter how difficult thesituation can be. So the willingness to help students should be the minimumstandard to be qualified as a t
10、eacher.Similarly, the skill to teach students how to learn outside the classroom iscompley unnesary. For one, most high school students have no timeoutside their classrooms at all, as all their spare time is already occupied by cramschool or by extracurricular activities. Evenhe rare circumstancet s
