3、can create value for their shareholders. After completing this course, students should reach following goals:1) Students possess a solid understanding of business and management and will be able to translate this knowledge into practice. -have a good command of fundamental theories and knowledge-hav
4、e a good command of analytical methods and decision-making tools-be able to apply theories and methodologies in key business functions.2) Students are able to have analytic thinking-be able to identify and summarize problems-be able to collect, process data and carry out quantitative analysis-be abl
5、e to put forward effective solutions to business problems(二)教學(xué)內(nèi)容This course provides an introduction into business finance topics including the current institutional environment, financial planning, risk and return, capital budgeting, capital structure, cost of capital, capital market and raising ca
6、pital. Basic tools necessary for analyzing and interpreting financial data will be developed. This course emphasizes application of principals and techniques in finance, students will be guided to learn how to solve the practical problems in corporate finance.(三)課程要求(1) Students are responsible for
7、all material and assignments presented in class. (2) Students are expected to have required readings and assignments completed before each class. Late assignments will be penalized and may result in a score of zero. (3) The group case analysis reports are required and are due at the beginning of the
8、 assigned class period. The appropriate group size is 3 to 4 members. The analysis report should not be restricted to the questions posed by the professor. They must discuss all interesting and important aspects of the cases.(4) The operative guideline for group presentations is careful analysis and
9、 effective presentation. A group will be given 20 minutes of presentation time, followed by questions from other students and the professor.(5) Exams may consist of multiple choice questions, short-answer questions, problem solving and essay questions. Make up exams are not guaranteed. The only exce
10、ption will be sickness with documented evidence that you are seriously ill at the scheduled time of the exam. In the absence of appropriate documentation, a missed exam will result in a score of zero.(6) Active participation is essential to a successful case class. All students must attempt to contr
