WhileChina’sGDPhasrisenatanannualrateof8to12percentayear,environmentaldamagehaseatenawaybetween8to13percentofthatGDPgrowtheveryyear.Thisisbecauseallofthecountry’skeyindustriesmining,paper,ironandsteel,chemicals

andbuildingmaterialsconsumelargeamountsofenergyandcreateagreatdealofpollution.Therefore,theChineseeconomyremainsdominated(占主導(dǎo)地位的）byresource-consumeandinefficient(無效率的）polluters.Asaresult,one-quarteroftheChinesepeopledrinksubstandard（標(biāo)準(zhǔn)以下的）water,whileone-thirdofcountry’surbanitesbreatheseriouslypollutedair.Chinacurrentlysuffersfromonewaterpollutionaccidenteveryotherday.Theresultingdamagetopublichealthisamajorcauseforconcern.Truly,injust30years,ChinahasmadeeconomicadvancesthattookWesterncountriesacenturytoaccomplish.ButitisequallytruethattheenvironmentalproblemssufferedbyWesterncountriesoverthose100yearshavevisiteduponChinawithinjustthreedecades.

ThecontentofthesurveyThissurveyismainlyaboutsomekindsofenvironmentalproblemsinChinaandthecurrentsituationoftheuniversallypollutedenvironment.What’smore,wealsofocusontheenvironmentalawarenessofourChinesepeople.Intheproject,wealsodesignedaquestionnairetosurveytheyoungpeopleinoursociety.Thequestionsinthequestionnairecanbedividedintotwoparts:ThefirstpartismainlyaboutsomeknowledgeoftheenvironmentalproblemsinChina.Wedesignedtoknowhowmuchpeopleknowaboutthem.Andthesecondpartisabouttheawarenessofprotectingenvironment.TheresultsofthequestionnaireTheresultsofthequestionnaireThesequestionsareabouttheknowledgeofChineseenvironment.Wedesignedthesequestionstoknowhowmuchpeopleknowaboutthem.TheresultsofthequestionnaireThesequestionsaremainlyabouttheawarenessofprotectingenvironment.Fromtheresultsofthesurvey,theybelievetheyhavelittleawareness.ThecommentsonthisissueFromtheinformationfoundontheinternet,weknowalotaboutthecurrentsituationofenvironment.Therearemanydatashowingusthebadsituation,whichChinanowisfacedwith.Fromtheresultsofthequestionnaire,wecanseeouryoungpeople’sawarenessofenvironmentprotectionisbadlyoff.Andatthesametimeouryounggeneration’slackoftheknowledgeabouttheenvironmentisreallyworrying.SomesuggestionsFirst,forindividuals,theenvironmentalprotectioniseveryone'sresponsibility.AsfarasIamconcerned,itisreallyimportantforourcollegestudentstostrengthentheawarenessofenvironmentalprotection.Maybewecannotchangethesituationsinaminute,butwecandolittlethingstocontributeone’sefforttothecareerofenvironmentalprotection,forexample,wecanminimizetheuseofone-timeitems,drivelow-emissioncarsandusethephosphate-free(無磷的)laundry.Ireallybelievethatthecollectivestrengthisimponderable(無法計量的).HereI’dliketogivesomesuggestionstoprotectenvironment.Secondly,asforcompaniesandfactories,Ithinkthewaytheyproduceproductsshouldbeenvironmentalfriendlyandtheleaderofthecompaniesorfactoriesshouldresearchanddevelopnewequipments,whichcanreducethepollution.Factoriescanusesomeadvancedmanufacturingtechnologiestoreducethenoiseandimprovetheircapacities(能力)ofrecycling.Exhaustgasandwastewater

shouldbewelldisposedofbeforetheyaredischarged.

Atlast,forthegovernment,theyshouldpunishtheindividualandfactorythatpollutetheenvironmentharshlyandrewardthosewhocontributetotheenvironmentalprotection.Als
