GRE寫作總覺得時(shí)間緊,練習(xí)從這幾點(diǎn)做起

GREIssue寫作的考場(chǎng)實(shí)戰(zhàn)中,廣闊考生的首要痛點(diǎn)之一就是感覺時(shí)間特別緊迫:

要么面對(duì)一道很尬聊的題無(wú)從下手,比如像面對(duì)第146原題“無(wú)聊雖然伴隨著自我滿意,但是它會(huì)導(dǎo)致尷尬”,略微有些思路的時(shí)候一晃眼七八分鐘已經(jīng)過(guò)去。

要么強(qiáng)迫癥爆發(fā),非要在記憶宮殿中擠出來(lái)一個(gè)高大上的事例,并且逐字逐句精雕細(xì)琢,結(jié)果時(shí)間一到,連半個(gè)屏幕都沒有寫滿。

面對(duì)這個(gè)痛點(diǎn),我作為一名在北京新東方美研精英方案中專注一對(duì)一GRE寫作培訓(xùn)的老師,通過(guò)大量的課堂實(shí)時(shí)寫作批改中總結(jié)出了5個(gè)簡(jiǎn)潔粗暴的加速器。

我的原則是,實(shí)戰(zhàn)至上,拒絕花拳繡腿,盼望能夠關(guān)心大家剔除任何拖沓實(shí)戰(zhàn)速度的累贅。

千萬(wàn)別跑題

提速之前,點(diǎn)題是3分上下的分水嶺。有些題目設(shè)計(jì)得很微妙狡猾,假如想當(dāng)然地發(fā)揮沒有縝密地鉆透徹題目真正的用意,那么往往會(huì)導(dǎo)致如下現(xiàn)象:考完試自我感覺極為良好,但是分?jǐn)?shù)一出來(lái)卻很低。

比如第55原題:

Themainbenefitofthestudyofhistoryistodispeltheillusionthatpeoplelivingnowaresignificantlydifferentfrompeoplewholivedinearliertimes.

這道題有的同學(xué)會(huì)爭(zhēng)論我們?yōu)槭裁春鸵郧暗娜藗儾灰粯?,由于科技在不斷顛覆,為什么又一樣,由于我們的基因沒那么突變,所以我們的激素,欲望,動(dòng)機(jī)還是和古人一樣。

以上的思路足夠能讓考生自我感覺良好,但是實(shí)際上卻跑題了,和題目真正想考察的點(diǎn)幾乎不搭邊兒。

留意,這里題目要爭(zhēng)論:學(xué)習(xí)歷史的主要好處是否是讓我們意識(shí)到我們和前人一樣。我們應(yīng)當(dāng)深挖的是這個(gè)“好處”的緣由。

如歷史讓我們知道了自己和前人有著一樣的欲望。比如嗜血讓我們收獲的好處是,在瞬息萬(wàn)變的當(dāng)下社會(huì),我們可以抓住這些根本的欲望來(lái)透過(guò)問(wèn)題的表象直擊核心,比如古羅馬人把奴隸送上角斗場(chǎng)上來(lái)滿意他們的嗜血欲。

現(xiàn)今社會(huì)雖然看上去人性化了許多,但是要設(shè)計(jì)一個(gè)爆款嬉戲,我們還是要著手于如何滿意這個(gè)沒怎么變的嗜血欲,于是便誕生了射擊嬉戲“吃雞”。

3個(gè)不糾結(jié)

第一,不能糾結(jié)辭藻的華麗,由于官方OG對(duì)于詞匯的要求只有“effective”。

這就意味著我們是來(lái)穿著運(yùn)動(dòng)服跑鞋沖刺的,而非穿著禮服來(lái)品酒的,所以要表達(dá)“幸災(zāi)樂(lè)禍”,你不必非要用8秒想出來(lái)8秒鐘拼錯(cuò)schadenfreude,而最好用3秒鐘寫出來(lái)“l(fā)aughatothersbadluck”。

其次,不必糾結(jié)事例的真假,完全可以現(xiàn)編,由于官方OG規(guī)定hypotheticalexample是和realexample可以一樣用的。

這也很人性化,究竟有些考題難度較大,像第36原題“Itisprimarilythroughouridentificationwithsocialgroupsthatwedefineourselves.”,我們假如難以想到Dr.dre通過(guò)認(rèn)同匪幫說(shuō)唱的社會(huì)群體來(lái)定義自己的音樂(lè)風(fēng)格這樣的真人真事,完全可以現(xiàn)編一個(gè)“小紅通過(guò)認(rèn)同瑜伽群體來(lái)定義內(nèi)心深處的悄悄”。

第三,不必糾結(jié)政治性對(duì)錯(cuò),依舊是OG的法規(guī)“thereisnorightorwrong”。所以面對(duì)US考官可以盡情批判特朗普付給艷星封口費(fèi),完全不用顧慮考官的什么愛國(guó)主義偏見而導(dǎo)致分?jǐn)?shù)低。

GRE作文范文:了解社會(huì)的方式

Inthecontemporarysociety,wehumanhavegainedmaybethemostthoroughandcomplicateknowledgesystemthananyothererasbefore,butunfortunatelyalsothemostenormousacquirementofmoreimportantdiscoverieswhichbedesiredbythedevelopmentofalmosteveryrealms.Sothisisthequestionaffrontedus:inanyfieldofinquiry,whetherthebeginnerorexpertwouldthemostefficientdiscoverer?Tothisquestion,peoplemayoffertheirrespectivepointsbasedontheirpersonalstands.Asabeginner,mypointisthatthebeginnerwillplaymoreimportantroleintheendlessprogresssearchingforknowledge.
