TeachingGoalandBasicRequirements:

Thiscourseintroducestheprinciplesofcircuitsandtheirroleinelectricalengineering,thenintroducesanddemonstratesthepowerofthefundamentalcircuitlawsandanalysismethods.Thisisfollowedbyanintroductiontotheprincipleofoperationalamplifierpropertiesandoperationalamplifiercircuits.Thepropertiesandapplicationsofreactivecircuitelementsareintroducedalongwithfirstandsecondordercircuits.ThebasicsofACcircuitanalysisfollow,thecoursewillshowhowthesinusoidalsteadystateproblemcanbesolvedusingphasoranalysis.StudentsarepreparedtoanalyzecircuitpropertieswiththesetoolsandmethodsforeachcircuittypeusingbothmanualmethodsandPSpicetools.
