1.PresentSimpleTense:Thepresentsimpletenseisusedtodescribegeneralfactsorhabits.Itisformedbyusingthebaseformoftheverbforallpronouns.Itisimportanttonotetheuseofthird-personsingular-s,aswellastheuseof'do'and'does'forformingquestionsandnegativesentences.

2.PresentContinuousTense:Thepresentcontinuoustenseisusedtodescribeactionshappeningnoworaroundthecurrenttime.Itisformedbyusingthepresentparticiple(verb+-ing)andtheappropriateformoftheverb'tobe.'Theverb'tobe'changesbasedonthesubjectpronoun.

3.PastSimpleTense:Thepastsimpletenseisusedtodescribecompletedactionsinthepast.Regularverbsareformedbyadding-edtothebaseformoftheverb,whileirregularverbshavespecificpasttenseforms.Inaddition,thereareaffirmative,negative,andinterrogativestructurestobeawareof.

-Theyvisitedtheirgrandparentslastweekend.

-Didyoueatbreakfastthismorning?

-Shedidn'tgototheparty.

4.PrepositionsofTime:Prepositionsoftimehelptospecifywhenanactionhappens.Keyprepositionsinclude'in,''on,'and'at.''In'isusedforlongerperiods(months,years),'on'isusedforspecificdaysordates,and'at'isusedforspecifictimes.

Example:

-IhaveapianolessononTuesday.

-Shewasbornin2005.

-Wewillmeetat5o'clock.

5.ComparativeandSuperlativeAdjectives:Comparativeadjectivesareusedtocomparetwothings,whilesuperlativeadjectivesareusedtocomparethreeormorethings.Thestructureincludestheadjective,'more'forcomparatives,and'themost'forsuperlatives.

-Sheisthemosttalentedsingerintheband.

6.ModalVerbs:Modalverbsareusedtoexpressability,possibility,permission,andobligation.Somecommonmodalverbsinclude'can,''could,''may,''might,''must,''shall,''should,''will,'and'would.'
