木頭可以(被)用來做桌椅。(2)eversince意為“從……開始”,可以引導時間狀語從句,主句常用現(xiàn)在完成時,并且主句的謂語動詞要用延續(xù)性動詞,從句用一般過去時。

自從他去年去了加拿大以來,我沒再見到過他。eversince也可放在句末,意為“此后(就一直……)”。e.g.TheoldmanwenttoBeijingin1949andhaslivedthereeversince.

3.Sometimesit’sprettyhardtotellwhat’swronginafriendship.◆pretty在本句中用作副詞,意為“很,非常,相當;頗”。◆what’swrong意為“出了什么問題”,wrong前不能有定冠詞the。詢問某人出了什么問題,常用“What’swrongwithsb.?”表示?!就卣埂縒hat’swrongwithsb.?的同義句為“What’sthetroublewithsb.?/What’sthematterwithsb.?/Whathappenedtosb.?”。

4.Trywritingtoyourfriendoryoucanaskanotherfriendforhelp.◆trydoingsth.意為“試著做某事”。【拓展】(1)try(not)todosth.意為“盡力/設法(不)做某事”。(2)常見短語有:tryon試穿;tryone’sbest盡某人最大努力?!鬭nother在此處為形容詞,意為“另一,又一,再一”,泛指三者或三者以上的另一個。其后可接單數(shù)名詞,“of+復數(shù)名詞”以及“基數(shù)詞+復數(shù)名詞”。
