mylips.Anambulancewasonstandbyforthefootballgame,andthepolicemanran

towarditwithourlifelessbabycradledinhisarms.Jackranbehindthem.Bythe

timetheypulledaway,Ihadcollapsed,andasecondambulancewascalledtotake

metothehospital.

WhenIarrivedminuteslater,thepolicemanwhohadcarriedChristopheraway

openedthedoorofmyambulance.HisnamewasJohn,andhisbrowneyeswerekind
