我不再是個學生了。有兩個短語和nolonger同義，即not…anylonger和not…anymore，但他們側重的方面不同。Languagepointsnolonger和not…anylonger側重時間。

他不在這兒居住了。(一個時間以前他住在這兒，過了這個時間，他就離開了。)not…anymore側重程度和數量e.g.Youcandrinknomore.=Youcan’tdrinkanymore.

這種方法不但殘忍而且對環(huán)境有害。notonly…butalso…(1)用于連接兩個表示并列關系的成分，著重強調后者，其意為“不僅……而且……”;其中的also有時可以省略。e.g.Shenotonlyplayswell,butalsowritesmusic.

她不但很會演奏，而且還會作曲。（2）Notonly…butalso…連接兩個分句，并且notonly

位于句首時，第一個分句中的主語和謂語要部分倒裝。
