Thecynicssaythecollegestudentsarethepamperedlostgeneration,whichwouldcringeattheslightestdiscomfort.Butthecynicsarewrong.ThecollegestudentsIseeareeagerlylearningabouthowtoliveindependently.Wehelpeachothercleanthedormitory,goshoppingandbargaintogether,andtakeparttimejobstosupplementourpocketmoney.
Thecynicssaywecarefornothingotherthangrades;andweneglecttheneedforcharactercultivation.Butagain,thecynicsarewrong.Wecaredeeplyforeachother,wecherishfreedom,wetreasurejustice,andweseektruth.Lastweek,thousandsofmyfellowstudentshadtheirbloodtypetestedinordertomakeacontributionforthechildrenwhosufferfrombloodcancer.
