HistoricalbackgroundTheMausoleumwasbuiltin246BCEfortheFirstQinEmperor,QinShiHuang,andhishospitalityItisthelargestandmostwellreservedadultmausoleumcomplexinChinaTheconstructionofthemausoleumwasagrandioseundertakingthatrequiresthelaborofover700000workersThemausoleumcomplexincludesaseriesofpavilions,terraces,andotherstructuresthatarealignedwiththeconsolidationpatternsThemainTombchamberislocatedundergroundandisprotectedbyacomplexseriesoftrapstopreventTombRobberyTheexteriorofthemausoleumisdecoratedwithpaintedmuralsandstatements,representingtheculturalandartisticstylesoftheQinDynastyMainfeaturesBIGDATAEMPOWERSTOCREATEANEWERA02ThearchitecturalstructureoftheMausoleumoftheFirstQinEmperorThemainbuildingisarectangularstructurewithalengthof55metersandawidthof35metersItismadeofbricksandstones,andtheexternalwallsaredecoratedwithpaintedmuralsInsidethemainbuilding,therearethreefloors:thegroundfloor,thefirstfloor,andthesecondfloorThegroundfloorisusedforstoringcosmeticutensilsandotheritemsrelatedtothecivilceremonyThefirstflooriswherethesarcophagusoftheFirstQinEmperorislocatedThesecondfloorisusedforstoringbooksanddocumentsrelatedtotheFirstQinEmperor'sreignMainbuilding01Thereareseveralaffiliatedbuildingssurroundingthemainbuilding,includingsamples,pavilions,andhalls02Theseconstructionsareusedforconductingrelevantliterature,judgments,andotheractivitiesrelatedtotheFirstQinEmperor'sfuneralceremony03ThesamplesareusedforpracticingandmakingofferstotheFirstQinEmperor,whilethepavilionsandhallsareusedforstoringanddisplayingvariousitemsrelatedtotheemployee'slifeandreignAssociatedbuildsTheMausoleumoftheFirstQinEmperorisknownforitsuniquearchitecturalstyle,whichcombinestraditionalChinesearchitecturewithelementsofmilitaryfortificationsArchitecturalstyleTheinteriordecorationisalsohighlyadjacent,withpaintedceilings,carriedbeams,andinlaidmotherofpearlworkonthefloorsTheexternalwallsaredecoratedwithpaintedmurals,presentingscenesfromtheFirstQinEmperor'slifeandreignTheroofsaremadeoftilesandaredecoratedwithdragonandphoenixmotifs,symbolizingimperialpoweranddiversityArchitecturalstyleBIGDATAEMPOWERSTOCREATEANEWERA03CulturalrelationsoftheMausoleumoftheFirstQinEmperorTerracottastatements01TheselifesizeTerracottastatementsweremadetoguardtheTomboftheFirstQinEmperorTheyarepositionedinrows,facingeachothertocrossthetombentranceTerracottaArmy02ThisisacollectionofterracottastatesexploringissuesofSoldiersTheyarepositionedinformation,fixingthetomb,readyforbattleTerracottaanimals03Theseterracottastatesincludehorses,covers,sheep,andotheranimalsTheyweremadetoprovidetransportationandcosmeticanimalsfortheafterlifeTerracottafiguresStonereliefsThesecarvingsarefoundonthewallsoftheTombcomplexanddetailscenesfromdailylife,includingagriculture,hunting,andwarStonestatementsThesecarvingsincludestatementsofoffices,general,andotherfiguresimportanttotheFirstQinEmperorTheyarepositionedthroughthetombcomplexStonecarvingsThesewereusedinrelevantandfinancialliteratureandareoftendescribedwithsymbolsandimagesimportanttotheFirstQinEmperor'sbeliefsystemBronzevesselsTheseincludewords,arrows,andotherimplementationsofwarTheyweremadetoprotecttheTombanditsoccurrencesfromHarmBronzeweaponsBronzewareBIGDATAEMPOWERSTOCREATEANEWERA04ExcavationandResearchoftheMausoleumoftheFirstQinEmperorDiscoveryofthesiteIn1974,agroupoffarmersdiscoveredthefirstterracottafigureswhilediggingawellinLintong,ShanxiThisdiscoveryledtofurtherexplorationsandeventsoftheidentificationofthesiteastheMausoleumoftheFirstQinEmperorExcavationtimelineTheextractionprocessBeganin1975andhascontinuedtothepresentationMultipleteamsofarchaeologistshavebeeninvolvedintheextraction,ledbytheShaanxiProvincialInstituteofArchaeologyChallengesfacedTheextractionprocesswaschallengingduetothelargesizeofthesiteandthecomplexstructureofthemausoleumAdditionally,theteamhastocontinuewithvariousenvironmentalfactorssuchaswaterloggingandsoilerosionExcavationprocessThemausoleumisthelargestambienttemperatureeverdiscoveredinChina,coveringanareaofover56000squaremetersItisestimatedtohavetakenover700000workerstobuildthemausoleumNumerousartifactshavebeendiscoveredduringtheextraction,includingterracottafigures,bronzeartifacts,jadeobjects,andcoinsTheseartifactsprovidevaluableinsightsintotheculture,art,andtechnologyoftheQindynastyThemausoleumispartofalargerFunerarycomplexthatincludesaseriesofpitsandmunicipalstructuresThesepitscontainadditionalterracottafigures,weapons,andotherartifactsSizeandscaleArtifactsdiscoveredFunerarycomplexResearchfindingsFutureOutlookFurtherresearch:FutureresearchwillfocusonfurtherinnovationswithinthemuseumaswellasdetailedstudiesoftheartifactsdiscoveredThisresearchwillaimtoprovideamorecomprehensiveunderstandingoftheQinDynastyanditscultureConservationeffects:ConservationeffectswillcontinuetopreservethesiteanditsartifactsThesitehasalreadybeendesignedasaNationalKeyCulturalHeritagesite,butfurthermeasuresareneededtoensureitslongtermpreservationPromoteculturaltourism:Thesitehasgreatpotentialforculturaltourism,andeffortswillbemadetopromotetourismtothe
