consumingthewatermaylosealotcffluidduringheavylabororexercise,the

electrolytes(電解質)arenotreplacedfastenoughtoavoidwaterpoisoning.

Thoseparticularlyatriskforwaterpoisoningareathletesengagedinlong

distancerunninglikeamarathon.Duetotheneedtoreplacelargequantitiesoflost

fluid,runnersmustdrinkalotofwater.Thiscanleadtopoisoning,sorunnersmust

replacetheirfluidswithsportsdrinksthathaveaddedelectrolytes.Otherfaclorsthat

contributetowaterpoisoningincludeactivitiesthatstimulateheavysweating.The

personworkingunderextremeheatorintensehumidity(濕氣)mustbecarefulwhen

consumingwaterinordertomaintainelectrolytebalance.Mentaldiseasescanalso

leadtowaterpoisoning.Psychogenicpolydipsiaisaconditioninwhichtheaffected
