Unit3isanEnglishcourseforseniortwostudents.Thislessonfocusesonthetopicof"Presentingideas".Byreadinganarticletitled"China:TakingtotheAir",studentswillbeabletounderstandChina'srapiddevelopmentandcuttingedgetechnologiesintheaviationfield.Thedesignofthetextbookissimpleandclear,whichcanstimulatestudents'interestwhenbinedwiththeirreallife.

Studentsareseniortwostudents,havebeenlearningEnglishforseveralyears,haveacertainEnglishfoundation.However,theirreadingprehensionandoralexpressionskillsmaystillbeweakandneedtobefurthercultivatedandimproved.Atthesametime,studentsareofteninterestedintopicssuchastechnologyandinnovation,sothistopiccanarousetheirinterestandhelpthembetterunderstandthecontentofthearticle.

Intheprocessofteaching,Ifoundthatstudents'understandingofculturaldifferencesandpresentationskillswasnotdeepenough.Althoughtheycananswerthebasicquestionsofthetext,theystillhavesomedifficultiesinunderstandingandapplyingwhattheyhavelearned.Inordertoimprovestudents'textunderstandingabilityandspeechskills,Iplantostrengthenthefollowingpointsinthenextteaching:

Firstofall,Iwillintroducemoreexamplesandcases,sothatstudentscanunderstandandapplywhattheyhavelearnedthroughpracticalsituations.Forexample,IcanshowstudentssomevideosoflivespeechesbyChinesespeakersandguidethemtoanalyzewhatbodylanguagethespeakersuseandexplaintheroleofthesebodylanguagesinexpressingideas.

Secondly,Iwilldesignsomeinteractiveactivitiessothatstudentscanpracticetheirpresentationskillsandevaluateeachother.Forexample,studentscanbeorganizedtogivesimulatedspeeches,andthenotherstudentscangivefeedbackandsuggestionsbasedontheknowledgelearnedintheclass.Throughsuchactivities,studentscannotonlyexercisetheirownexpressionability,butalsolearntheexcellentexpressionwaysofothers,soastocontinuo
