need,sewing machine,trunk library,choose from2語言技能目標(1)強化略讀、查讀等閱讀技能,訓(xùn)練通過尋找關(guān)鍵詞等方式更快速并準確地確定文章的大意,理清文章的總體框架與脈絡(luò)的技能。(2)繼續(xù)運用已經(jīng)掌握的基本猜詞技巧猜測文章中的部分單詞。(3)根據(jù)提綱,快速構(gòu)思完成英語習(xí)作的技能。3語言能力目標增強閱讀理解能力和書面表達能力。4情感態(tài)度與文化意識目標:(1)幫助學(xué)生理解志愿者工作的意義,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在日常生活中幫助他人、扶貧救困的愛心。(2)在小組合作互動中,增強學(xué)生的團隊合作精神與分享意識。重點難點1教學(xué)重點:閱讀能力、寫作能力的培養(yǎng)和提高。2教學(xué)難點:訓(xùn)練用英語獲取信息、處理信息、分析問題和解決問題的能力;用英語說明自己學(xué)習(xí)生活情況的能力。教學(xué)準備1學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)準備:熟讀本單元的單詞詞組,想一想如何用英語向別人介紹自己的情況。2教師的教學(xué)準備:查找“希望工程”的相關(guān)信息。3教學(xué)用具的設(shè)計和準備:制作與課文相關(guān)的多媒體課件。教學(xué)過程step 1prereadingseveral questions:1.what can we do for the children in poor areas or countries?2have you ever tried to send a gift or something to the children in poor areas or countries?how can you send the gifts to them?now lets read the passage “the worlds most useful gift catalogue”設(shè)計說明 通過幾個問題直接引入要學(xué)習(xí)的內(nèi)容。由于第一篇課文介紹志愿者在巴布亞新幾內(nèi)亞獨立國部落教書的經(jīng)歷,所以提問what can we do for the children in poor areas or countries?學(xué)生可能會回答:teach the children.也可能會出現(xiàn)這樣的答案,如:send some clothes/some money/some gifts to them.這樣教師可以順利地進入下面的問題:how can you send the gifts to them?隨后進入課文的閱讀。step 2reading and speaking1read the passage and answer the following questions: (1)whats the passage about?(how to send a gift to those who need them.)(2)where is the list of the gifts?(it is on the left side of the page.)(3)whats the purpose of the internet page?(let people give an unusual gift to the poor.)(4)in the internet page,theres a card on the right. how can you get it?(when you purchase a gift from the catalogue,youll be sent an attractive card.)(5)what occasions(場合)can you use the cards for?(weddings,births,birthdays,christmas or anniversaries,etc.)(6)in what kind of order are the gifts listed?(in the order of price.)2on the internet page,when you click on each gift,you get a description of that gift. in pairs,write the correct gift(a to u)from the internet page next to each description below.(1)this gift allows a woman who is a trained tailor to make some income,giving her and her family a better future.(india,tanzania,kenya)(2)this gift gives a person the opportunity to acquire basic reading and writing,and life skills. adults develop the confidence to participate in the social,economic and political lives of their communities.(nepal,india,bangladesh,uganda)(3)this gift covers the cost of production and distribution of seedlings,as well as training in tree care for the local villagers who are working hard to prevent their land from turning into desert.(kenya,tanzania,india)(4)this gift buys a goat. a goat gives milk and is a valuable income. goats increase in member quickly and add much to a familys food and financial security. they are easy and fun for children to care for.(nepal,india,uganda)(5)this gift covers the cost of exercise books and textbooks for community primary schools that operate in poor or remote villages.(southern sudan)(6)this gift gives a child a good start in life. community schools provide good quality education for children who would otherwise have no opportunity to attend school.(bangladesh,kenya,uganda)keys:(1)n(2)g(3)a(4)j(5)f(6)i設(shè)計說明作為語言運用部分的閱讀文章,“世界上最有用的禮物清單”通過圖文結(jié)合的方式,介紹了一些特殊的禮品,閱讀難度不大。所以只設(shè)計了兩個練習(xí)來幫助學(xué)生理解課文內(nèi)容。第一個練習(xí)是學(xué)生快速閱讀后回答問題,第二個練習(xí)是仔細閱讀后找出合適的捐贈項目。之后,可以簡單提提文中出現(xiàn)的短語:in need,choose from,及兩個名詞短語sewing machine,trunk library。step 3writing task(page 75 in the workbook)1introduce some information about hope project.t:in fact,not only in png,india,kenya,but also in children in poor areas who have to leave school early only because their families cannot afford to keep them at school.2shanshan is an 11yearold girl from gansu province whose family cannot afford to
