Teach Ss to talk about past experiences and plans.Teaching key points and difficulties: Talk about past experience with the present perfect tense.Teaching method: situational teaching method.Teaching procedures:Stage 1: Lead-in.T asks Ss “Whats the date today?” and student answers “June, 6th.” T tells Ss that the summer holiday is coming and asks Ss where they want to go in China and in Hainan. Stage 2: Presentation.Step 1: T divides the students into four groups and Ss have a competition among the groups. The members of the winner group will get a small gift.Step 2: T introduces her own travelling experiences with some pictures about zoo and amusement park with the structure: I went to last year/last month.Step 3: T uses the sentences “I went to last year/last month.” to present the new sentence structures “I have been to ” ,“Have you ever been to?” Step 4: T presents the new phrases with the pictures.(space museum, history museum, art museum, nature museum, science museum, water park)Stage 3: Practice.Step 1: Ss read the words together and check their memories with the pictures.Step 2: Ss practice the conversation in pairs and T chooses two pairs to act out in front of the classmates.-Have you ever been to a water park?- Yes, I have./ No, I havent.Step 3: Ss look at the table in 1b and guess who are they and what they are talking about.Step 4: Ss listen and check whether Claudia and Sarah ever been to these places and finish 1b.Step 5: T and Ss check the answers with the structures: Claudia / Sarah has been toStage 4: Production.Step 1: Summer holiday is coming. Ss talk about their travelling experiences and plans with their classmates.Step 2:T gives an example with one student and other students practice like this. A: Lets go somewhere different this summer holiday. B: Ok, Where do you want to go ? A: Have you ever been to the space museum? B: No, I havent. How about you? A: Me neither.
