Grammar Focus 1) The wife told her husband that unless he left the children to die in the forest, the whole family would die. whole此處作形容詞,意為“全部的”,常用結構為“限定詞+whole+名詞”,與all同義。 all的常用結構為“all+限定詞+名詞”。2) Did you hear our stepmother planning to kill us? hear-heard-heard, 常用短語有:hear sb.doing sth.“聽到某人正在做某事”,強調動作正在進行。hear sb. do sth. “聽到某人做了某事”或“經常聽到某人做某事”,強調動作的全過程,表示動作經常發(fā)生或動作已經完成。3) What a long time you slept in the forest!此句為what引導的感嘆句,感嘆句一般由what/how來引導。what與how引導的感嘆句可以進行同義句轉換,其結構為: What+a/an+形容詞+單數可數名詞(+主語+謂語)!What an outgoing girl she is! What+形容詞+復數名詞/不可數名詞(+主語+謂語)! What delicious beef it is! How+形容詞/副詞(+主語+謂語)! Guide Ss to love the Chinese or Western famous works.5)Knowledge Reserve知識儲備 本單元前面幾個課型以中西方的傳統神話及經典童話為依托,學生在具體語境中學習了用Once upon a time, there was/ This story reminds us that 的句型來講述故事,并且在講故事的過程中注重連詞as soon as / unless / sothat的運用。通過了解中國傳統的神話故事,學生掌握了故事講述的思路,并從中升華了情感目標。為本課時的學習做好了充足的知識鋪墊。Section B第一課時講述了西方童話故事The Emperors New Clothes,通過中西方故事的對比,讓學生感受到了中西方的不同文化。二、Class data本班實際本班學生學習比較被動,但課堂表演形式較為新穎,故英語課堂上參與度較高。對于英語成績差一點的學生,在流利度方面有待提高,充分利用小組學習來帶動他們進步。本節(jié)課的閱讀是一篇戲劇,是學生第一次接觸,教師要做好引導。課文內容簡單,就要求學生用更精準的語言及表情表現出戲劇情節(jié)。三、教學輔助 computer, projector四、Teaching procedures 教學進程1)Leading-in and warming-up 引入與激趣活動Introduce The brothers Grimm and their famous novels to Ss2) Reading Practice 閱讀訓練a.Pre-reading 1. Show some fairy tales on the PPT. Tell Ss fairy tales are old, traditional stories. They usually have positive messages in them. They are meant to teach people important lessons, not just entertain and amuse. They always have happier endings and less frightening characters.Then show some fairy tales on the PPT. Do you know what these fairy stories are about? e.g.Look at the picture. Do you know this story? Ss:Yes.Whats the name of this story? S1: Snow White. Can you tell the story briefly? S2:Snow White was a beautiful and kind princess. Her mother died. Her father married a wife, and the stepmother envied Whites beauty and tried to kill her. The hunter didnt kill her but let her leave in the forest. Snow White came to the Seven Drawfs house and lived with them. The bad Queen knew it and decided to kill her again. The prince saved Snow white. They married and lived happily forever.b.While-reading 讀中理解1.Skimming.Ask Ss to read through the passage and decide what kind of text it is. Is it a letter, a play, a short story or something else? Ss may find out that its a play. 2.Fast reading.Then read the passage quickly and answer the two questions.(1) How many scenes and characters are in the play?(2) Who are the characters?Answers: 1.Seven scenes and four characters. 2.Hansel, Gretel, Husband and Wife.3. Careful reading.Guide Ss to read the sentences in 2c to make sure everyone can read them.Then ask Ss to read the play carefully and try to match each description below with the correct scene. Finally, check the answers. Answers: A. Scene Seven. B. Scene Two. C.Scene Six. D.Scene Three. E. Scene Four. F.Scene Five. G.Scene One.c.Post-reading 讀后提升1.Read the questions in 2d. Then have Ss reread the play for deeper comprehension.After Ss finish them, give them two minutes to memorize all the answers. Ask Ss to close their books and answer Ts questions in 2b.Finally, open their books to check their answers .Answers: 1. The weather was so dry that no food would grow.
