Unit 7 Its raining. Section A 1 (1a-2d)教學設計四川省遂寧市第一中學 彭祥一、教學目標: 1. 語言知識目標:1) 能掌握以下單詞: rain, windy, cloudy, sunny, snow, weather, cook, bad, park, message, take a message, could, back, problem 能掌握以下句型: Hows the weather in Beijing? Its sunny. Can I take a message for him? Yes. Could you just tell him to call me back? Sure, no problem. 2) 能用所學的知識描述天氣情況。 3)描述正在發(fā)生的動作。 2. 情感態(tài)度價值觀目標:教育學生善于觀察天氣,善于調整自己的情緒;了解世界各地的天氣情況,增加世界觀念。知道大自然的力量是神奇而偉大的,我們應當好好學習,立志學好科學知識,為長大后探索神奇的大自然,打好基礎。 二、教學重難點1. 教學重點:1) The vocabulary and useful expressions. 2) Hows the weather? Its raining/ windy. 3) What are you doing? Im playing basketball. 2. 教學難點:運用目標語言來對天氣進行問答,并且會問答其他人正在進行的活動。三、教學過程. Presentation 1. (Show some pictures of the weather) Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures. 2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures. 1a Match the words with the pictures a-e. raining _ windy _ cloudy _ sunny _ snowing _3. Check the answers. Keys: abecdII. Listening 1. Now lets look at the city names in the box in 1b. Please read after me. Ss read the cities after the teacher. 1b Listen and write these city names in the boxes above.Beijing Moscow Toronto Boston Shanghai 2. Now, Well hear four conversations. Listen carefully, point out each city in the picture as it comes upon the tape. Play the recording a second time. Ask Ss to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather. 3. Check the answers. Keys: a Toronto b Boston c Beijing d Moscow e ShanghaiIII. Pairwork 1. Tell the Ss: If you are in one of the places in the picture above. Talk about the weather with your friends in another city on the phone. 1c Imagine you are in one of the places in 1a. Talk about the weather with your friend on the phone.2. Make a model with a student like this:T: Hi! Hows the weather in Beijing?S1: Its sunny. 3. Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities. Hows the weather in Shanghai? Its cloudy. Hows the weather in Moscow? Its snowy. Hows the weather in Toronto? Its raining. Hows the weather in Boston? Its windy. IV. Listening 1. Work on 2a. Lets see what Joes families are doing. 2. Ask Ss tell each person is doing in each picture. More attentions should be paidto the correct use of the Present Progressive Tense. 3. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the pictures 1-4. 4. Play the tape for Ss to check the answers. Keys: 2 3 45. With the whole picture, get some Ss to tell the story of it. 6. BrainstormingPlay the tape for another time. Then do a memory test. Ask Ss: Whats Uncle Joe/Jeff/Mary/Aunt Sarah doing? Whatre Scott and Lucy doing? Is Jeff watching TV? etc. 7. Let Ss match the names with the activities in 2b. 2b Listen again. Match the names with the activities. c Uncle Joe a. is playing computer games._ Jeff b. is cooking._ Mary c. is playing basketball._ Aunt Sally d. is watching TV.Play the recording for the Ss to check the answers. Keys: a d bV. Pair work 1. Work on 2c. Look at the pictures and talk about the people in 2a with a partner. 2. Ask a student the questions as a model:T: Whats Uncle Joe doing? S1: Hes playing basketball.3. Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer about the pictures. Whats Aunt Sally doing? Shes cooking in the kitchen. Whats Mary doing? Shes watching TV. Whats Jeff doing? Hes playing computer games.VI. Reading 1. Work on 2d. Ask Ss to read the conversation and answer the questions: 1) Whats Steve doing?2) Whats Ricks brother doing?3) What does Steve want Ricks brother to do? Ss read the conversations and answer the questions. Then check the answers together. Keys: Hes playing basketball with some friends at the park.Hes studying at his friends home.He wants Ricks brother to call back. 2. Let Ss role-play the conversation in pairs. Rick: Hello, Rick speaking.Steve: Hi, Rick. Its Steve. Hows it going?Rick: Not bad, thanks. The weathers great. What are you doing? Steve: Im playing basketball with some friends at the park. Rick: Sounds like youre having a good time. Steve: Yeah. Is your brother at home?Rick: Oh, hes not here. Hes studying at his friends home. Can I take a message for him?Steve: Yes. Could you just tell him to call me back?Rick: Sure. No problem. VII. Language points.1. Its raining. rain 做動詞,意為“下雨”。 e.g. 現(xiàn)在天津在下雨。 Its raining in Tianjin now. 【拓展】rain 做名詞,意為“雨水”。 e.g. There is a lot of rain in summer in our city. 我們這里夏天雨量很大。2. Its windy. windy 多風的 cloudy 多云的 sunny 晴朗的 構詞法:名詞 + y 形容詞 e.g. 今天北京有風。 Its windy in Beijing today. 3. Hows the weather in Beijing? 用于詢問天氣情況,可與Whats the weather like?互換,答語通常為“Its +描述天氣的形容詞或動詞-ing形式.” weather 是不可數(shù)名詞,意為“天氣;氣候”。 其前面不能用不定冠詞 a 修飾,但可以用定冠詞 the 或 bad/fine 等修飾;通??梢杂?it 來指代。e.g. 華北春天多風。 The weather is windy in spring in the north of China. 今天天氣如何? 今天下雨。 Hows the weather today? / Whats the weather like today?Its raining / rainy. 4. Shes cooking. cook 作動詞,意為“烹調;煮” e.g. 通常媽媽給我們做晚飯。 My mother usually cooks for us. 【拓展】作名詞,意為“廚師”。e.g. 我叔叔是一位很棒的廚師。 My uncle is a great cook. 5. Hows it going? 情況怎么樣? Hows ? 句型在問候語中用來詢問對方的情況。答語常為:Great. / Pretty good. /Not bad.等。 e.g. 你的學習情況如何? Hows it going with your study? 【拓展】 表達問候還可以用 How are you? 進行詢問,答語常為“Fine, thank you.”。這兩句話的重點不在于詢問,而在于問候或打招呼。6. Sounds like youre having a good time. 這是一個省略句,相當于It sounds like youre 。英語It sounds like 與It sounds 句型近似,都表示“聽起來;聽上去”。這種省略的用法十分口語化,在日常英語會話中經常聽到。e.g. (It) Sounds like hes all right now. 聽上去他現(xiàn)在病已經好了。 (It) Sounds like you had a good time on your trip. 聽起來你旅行玩得很開心。7. Could you just tell him to call me back? tell sb. to do sth. 讓某人做某事 e.g. He tells me to drive slowly. 他讓我開車慢點。 其否定結構為 tell sb. not to do sth., “讓某人不要做某事”。 e.g. The teacher tells them not to run in the classroom. 老師讓他們不要在教室里跑。VIII.
