The students can use the past progressive tense totalk about the past events according to the situations. Enable the students to understandthe different use of “when” and “while”. Leading in and warmingup 1.Show agroup of pictures and ask the class:What is doing？Get the studentsto answer individually correctly.【設計說明】復習現(xiàn)在進行時態(tài)，為下一步過渡到過去進行時做準備。2. 1) Show another group of pictures andask: What is Liu Xiang / Yao Ming doing now？Then ask some individuals to answer correctly.2) After making sure that the students answer incorrect ways according to each picture, cancel the pictures.
