Teaching DesignUnit1 Can you play the guitar? 學校:南岳廟學校 教師:凌云Part 1:Teaching objectives1、Knowledge objectives:(1) Students can listen,speak,read and write the words about abilities,such as:sing,swim,dance,draw,play chess,speak English,play the guitar and so on.(2) Students can use the sentence patterns to ask about abilities:”Can you play the guitar?”What can you do?”What club do you want to join?”2、Ability objectives:(1)Students can use the sentence patterns to ask about others abilities and use the sentence patterns to communicate and cooperate with others 3、Emotional objective:(1) Students can know the importance of developing abilities and develop more abilities.Analysis of the students:Just enter junior high school , and students basic knowledge of English listening and speaking ability is generally poor, although most of the students in primary school learn English for 4years, the application ability is very weak. Therefore, when the beginner begins to learn the letters, let the students write the letters correctly and correct the wrong forms of writing. At the same time, in the face of different levels of students mastery of English, we will adopt a combination of stratified teaching and overall teaching to complete teaching tasks, and strive to improve their English level.(2) In addition, there are still many problems that need to be solved in students emotion, attitude, learning strategies and cultural awareness. For example: individual students do not clear the purpose of learning English to learn English well; some students lack self-confidence, dare to use English expression; lack of team cooperation consciousness; some students did not develop good study habits(3)In view of this situation, in the initial stage of teaching, we should do our best to link up primary and secondary schools, train good study habits, slow down the pace of teaching, and try to improve the students interest in learning. For example, repeat some basic words and basic sentences through the students favorite games and contests. (3) Part 2:Teaching key points:(3) 1.Students can listen,speak,read and write the words about abilities,such as:sing,swim,dance,draw,play chess,speak English,play the guitar and so on.(4) 2.Students can use the sentence patterns to ask about abilities:”Can you play the guitar?”What can you do?”What club do you want to join?”Part 3:Teaching difficult points:1.Students can use the sentence patterns to ask about abilities:”Can you play the guitar?”What can you do?”What club do you want to join?”2.Students can know more about abilities and different kinds of clubs.Part 4:Teaching aidsPPT、blackboard 、pictures、chalkPart 5:Teaching proceduresStep 1: Greeting and Lead-in(1)warm-up T : Good morning,classS : Good morning,teacher.!T :How are you?S : I am fine, thank you.T: I am fine, too.Thank you.(2) Teacher ask“Do you know what I like doing?”Students:I dont know.Teacher ask“Do you know what I like doing?Iwill do the actions,and you can guess what I like doing.”The purpose of this step:This step help to review what students have learned before, and the topic of this class will be led in naturally.Step 2 : Presenting new knowledge(1) Teacher showing the PowerPoint and asking students “what can he do?”T:What can he do?S:He can swim. Then, letting students show their dialogue.(2) Ask two students to use the sentence patterns to make a dialogue:Can you play the guitar?Yes,Ican.No,I cant.The purpose of this step is:In this way,words can be learned in sentences and the sentences are learned in real teaching situation.Step 3: Consolidating and expandingActivity 1:memory challengeI will present some pictures on the PPT, and ask students to remember the happy faces or the sad facesActivity 2:pair workI will divide two students into one group to role-play the dialogue.The purpose of this step is:In this step,I design two activities, it can improve students communicative and cooperative ability ,also, it can improve their comprehensive language competence.Step 6: SummaryI will lead students to recall and summarize the new word and sentences by asking question and evaluate their performance.Step 7: Homework(1)Ask students to read and recite new words and sentenc
