Competition teaching method 五.Teaching AIDSMultimedia 六. Teaching time One class七.Teaching process 1. Presentation(1) Word and expressions . The sentences describe a certain kind of weather . By guessing the words , the students can get an opportunity to increase the vocabulary.( sunny , cloudy , rainy , windy , snowy etc.) (2) Sentence pattern The pictures show different weather, the students can speak them out easily . And present the question ( Whats the weather like ? / How is the weather ? ). I can help the students answer the questions . ( Its sunny . )(3) Word formation Help the students find the rule of changing a noun into an adjective . Then present a chart .2. Practice Read the new words again to help the students grasp them .3. Game Give a part of a picture that describe a kind of weather . I will ask the students , “ What s the weather like ? ” or “ Hows the weather ?” Let the students guess what it is . This game can help them be familiar with the sentence pattern .4. Pairwork The picture shows five famous places . The weather in each place is very different . first I can let my students know these famous cities . Then ask them to make a short dialogue in pairs . ( Whats the weather like in Toronto ? Its raining / rainy .)5. Listening To give the students listening practice with the target language .6. Presentation To give the students a chance to know how to ask others the recent situations . ( Hows it going ? ) And I also give them some different icons to stand different answers . ( Pretty good . Not bad . Terrible etc. )7. Practice Several pictures shows the weather and the situation . I can ask , “ Hows it going ? ” . The students can answer . “ Pretty good .” Then I ask “ Whats the weather like ? ” The students answer “ Its sunny .” After this , another student ask , then another answer8. Groupwork ( 1 ) Task 1 To help the students use the target language in conversations. I will help them to make a dialogue in groups .( 2 ) Task 2. To help the students use the target language in natural speech . The students will discuss together and then one of them can act out in front of the class .9. Summary Ask the student to sum up what they learn from
