The book review of the prince and the pauper Id like to choose this book to read because I am fond of Mark Twains work and his humor . Mark Twain , who is a American humorist and author,was the outstanding representative in the American literary community in the 19th century.He had exposed sharply the evil phenomenon and criticized racial discrimination, money worship and so on .Most important of all, he was famous as the “American literary giant”. The prince and the pauper tells us a interesting story that a prince who was called Edward and a poor child who was called Tom changed their position by accident.The prince became a pauper while the pauper became the prince.At the beginning ,what I unexpected is that they were born in the different family at the same time and the two looks very similar and handsome.On the princes birthday ,many ministers and his realitives came to celibrate it and took care of him.It is just like the biggest party in this country and it made all the country noisy. However, on the paupers birthday ,nobody cared about him, he just worn a broken clothes. Because Tom was born in a poor family which is like a rubbish yard, and lived a poverty-stricken life. All his family members lived in a small broken house. The house has only a bed ,furthermore ,it is his parents. He always feel hungry and tired out .While Edward lived in the palace and lived a luxurious life. As the time went by ,he was sick and tired of the boring ,routine life.Unexpectedly, what a coincidence ,one day ,they came across in the palace .But they had nothing in common topics to start with ,they cant comprehend each other .Prince asked Tom that his two sisterstemper were as bad as the princess.Tom said ,his sister had no servant at all,which surprised prince a lot .Later they became talketive .There was a feeling in them that the other seemed to be familiar with .It was occurred to Edward that exchanging their clothes may improve his life .He comforted Tom and said ,”If we go out naked ,who can tell which is you and which is me ?why not?” So they decided to exchange their clothes and started a new life .So the pauper Tom worn a princes clothes and became the new king of the Great Britain.And the true prince Edward can not be a true king .He had to live with poor people and beggers.At the beginning ,their switching roles made ministers confusion and didnt tell the real prince from the fake one until the prince ascended the throne .With the help of a good man Hoton,the prince Edward changed his bad habit and finally went back to the palace.And the pauper Tom felt very soory and had to leave.The real prince became the real king .At last ,Edward became a good king and live with his people happily.In a word ,it is funny and worth reading .After reading this book ,I thought a lot which I never thought before. That is to say ,everyone ,including us ,couldnt make our life be perfect in any time .Anything we do has both good effect and bad effect in our near future.Because anying in the world are connected ,if we choose o
