What about you, Mary?Ill hand out the sighs in the street!5._ 三、考點精講 1. thanks to/ thanks for 意義不一樣: thanks for 表示“因為而表示感謝”。例句:Thanks for your help. 謝謝你的幫助。 thanks to “多虧了”。例句:Thanks to your help, we finished the work in time.由于你的幫助,我們及時完成了工作。 用法不一樣: thanks for sth/doing sth.=Thank you for sth./doing sth. 例句:Thanks for giving me a lot of help.謝謝你給我提供很多幫助。 Thanks to 相當(dāng)于because of, 所以有2個部分。 例句:Thanks to your help, I have improved my English. 多虧你的幫助,我的英語進步了。2. be used to doing/used to do 意義不一樣:be/get used to doing sth.表示習(xí)慣于做某事或習(xí)慣于某事,to是介詞,后面要跟名詞、代詞或動名詞。而used to do sth.則表示過去常常,to后跟原形動詞.例句:Now he is used to getting up early.現(xiàn)在他已經(jīng)習(xí)慣早起了. He used to get up early. 過去他經(jīng)常早起.(意味著如今他不再早起了.)Youll soon get/be used to hard work.你會很快習(xí)慣于艱苦的工作的.3. put up/ put on/ put off/ put away 意義不一樣:putaway把(某物)放在合適的地方;整理,例句:Putyourbooksaway. putup升起;舉起搭起;例句:Putyourhandsup.舉起你的手。Theyputupanewhousehere. 他們在這里蓋了一棟新房子。 puton穿上;戴上,增加,發(fā)胖 例句:Heputonhiscoatandhatandwentout. 他穿上上衣,戴上帽子,就出去了。 putoff推遲(約會、旅行、訪問等);推遲和(某人)的約會。put off doing sth. 推遲做例句Itsraininghard.Wedbetterputoffthesportsmeet. 正在下大雨,我們最好把運動會延期。 4. set out/set up 意義不一樣:set up 建起,設(shè)立 例句: Our head teacher set up a Wechat group last week. 我們班主任上周建起了微信群。 set out出發(fā),啟程 例句:As you set out on your new journey. You shouldnt forget where you came from. 當(dāng)你踏上新的旅程,你不該忘記你來自哪里。 用法不一樣:set up sth. to do 建立目的是例句:I am sure you know that this group was set up to help disabled people like me.我確信你知道這個小組成立以幫助像我這樣的殘疾人。5. care for/care about 意義不一樣:care for表示“照顧”相當(dāng)于take care of。例句:He spent years caring for his sick mother他數(shù)年中一直在照顧生病的母親.care for 還可以表示 “喜愛”, 常用于否定句及疑問句。例句:She doesnt care for that color她不喜歡那種顏色.care about 表示“擔(dān)心、在乎、關(guān)心”相當(dāng)于be worried about。例句: I really care about my work.我真的關(guān)心我的工作。6. borrow/lend 意義相似、用法不同:兩者都可表示“借”,但是 borrow 指“借入”,而 lend 則指“借出”,兩者其實是一對反義詞。 例句:Some people neither borrow nor lend. 有的人既不借也不貸。表示“向某人借某物”,用borrow sth from sb,不能用 borrow sb sth. 例句:Dont borrow some money from her. 不要向她借錢。不能用“Dont borrow her some money.”來表達。表示“把某物借給某人”,英語用lend sth to sb,可以用lend sb. sth. 例句:He lent his pen to me. 他把他的鋼筆借給了我= He lent me his pen.四、考點精煉一) 單項選擇。 1Oh, you dont have a _.
