前面說“with a combination”,從后文的“on one or another”可以推測前后文是轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系。故選but。3.A.grown-upB.would-beC.poorD.unfortunate答案:B解析 本題考查語境的把握。 類似的短語有“a would-be learner想上學(xué)的人”,“a would-be suicide未遂的自殺”。4.A.concentrateB.dwellC.insistD.stress答案:A解析 本題考查對上下文語義的綜合理解。conce
、ntrate on集中,全神貫注于;dwell on細(xì)想,詳述;insist on堅持,堅決要求; stress on著重,強(qiáng)調(diào)。前文說到“with a combination”,指的是把節(jié)食和做運(yùn)動結(jié)合起來。 A。5.A.changingB.combiningC.developingD.practicing答案:A解析 本題考查動賓搭配。change改變;combine結(jié)合;develop發(fā)展,建立;practice練習(xí);combine常用于combine A with B/ combine A and B結(jié)構(gòu),故應(yīng)
A。6.A.HowB.WhenC.WhereD.Why答案:A解析 本題考查語境的把握。 A。 8.A.achie
、veB.acquireC.addressD.adopt答案:A解析 本題考查動詞的用法。 A。9.A.settledB.organizedC.formedD.composed答案:B解析 本題考查主謂搭配。 10.A.eventuallyB.hardC.completelyD.fast答案
11.A.summaryB.researchC.inspectionD.survey答案:B解析 本題考查詞語的辨析。 12.A.confusedB.troubledC.concernedD.acquainted答案:A解析 本題考查固定短語。confuse with混淆,迷惑;trouble為及物動詞,后面不與with搭配;b
、e concerned with與有關(guān);ac quaint with熟悉,了解。 13.A.exerciseB.operationC.dietD.activity答案:A解析 本題考查上下文語義的銜接。 A。14.A.dischargeB.consumeC.digestD.burn答案:B解析 本題考查動賓搭配。
15.A.ActivistsB.PractitionersC.DietersD.Exercisers答案:C解析 本題考查語境的把握。 16.A.simplestB.bestC.easiestD.quickest答案:B解析 本題考查語境的把握。 17.A.failedB.aimedC.pausedD.arr
A。18.A.everB.rarelyC.neverD.nearly答案:C解析 本題考查對語境的把握。 C。19.A.NaturallyB.SimplyC.AlmostD.Even答案:D解析 本題考查副詞的用法。
20.A.reserveB.regainC.returnD.recover答案:B解析 本題考查動詞的用法。 B。Section Reading ComprehensionPart ADirections: Read the following three texts.
