9、t causes nearby healthy tissues to fail Another study found that senescent cells contribute to diseases like atherosclerosis andarthritis New work led by Darren Baker , a biologist at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota , suggests the accumulation of senescent cells within the brains of mice causes the ani

14、elyabsent When the mice were presented with objects they had met before , they approached them without hesitation , as healthy mice should In contrast, mice whose brains were full of senescent cells approached the objects tentatively, as if they had never seen them before Mice are not people It rema

15、ins to be seen whether clearing exhausted cells from human brains could have similar benefits Since it is not possible to do genetic engineering on humans beforehand, drugs that can clear out senescent cells will have to be developed instead But Dr Bakers results suggest that is worth trying Indeed,

23、tructed a group of volunteers to promote my book in two different ways The first was a fairly hands-off approach Whenever a customer would ask about my book , the volunteer would take them over to the shelf and point to it Out of 20 such requests, six customers made the purchaseThe second option als
